My favourite fact of Celebrity Traitors 2 is that former spouses of both Rupert Murdoch and Rebekah Brooks are in it. The money doesn’t last long.

They’ve finally started on this 9-storey wooden building in Clerkenwell. “The largest full timber structure in the UK”.

Today I bought yet another replacement toilet seat for the office. I also went to the Impressionists exhibition at the Royal Academy. And tonight it’s Celebrity Traitors. I should keep a diary.

Brave of Burnham to say he’s going to fight the next election on changing the voting system, axing the triple lock and raising taxes, with three years for the opposition and media to scaremonger about it all. Well he can tell you that he tried.

The fact that “Choosin’ Texas” has spent 23 weeks at number 1 in the US during the same year as “Rein Me In” spent 23 weeks at number 1 in the UK with so many people being unaware of either song shows that counting streams is no way to judge the popularity of music.

Three caterpillars on the organic broccoli tonight. A new record. I’ve released them into the wilds of King’s Cross. The other excitement of the day was when I shut my head in the car door during a very stressful visit to the petrol station. At least I won’t have to go there for another year or so.

Saw a very serious play about Shostakovich last night. During the interval they played “Push the Button” by Sugababes, which somewhat broke the spell for me.

Two exciting campaign leaflets today for the Holborn & St Pancras by-election. George Galloway wants to end support for Zelensky and abolish 20mph speed limits; the Christian Peoples Alliance focuses on St Pancras himself, who it says was beheaded age 14 following a family breakdown. Much to ponder.

When Blondie were in dispute with their record company they released a song under the band name Adolph's Dog, a reference to the fact that Hitler's dog was called Blondi. Simpler, less squeamish times.

It is extremely annoying that you can’t have a drink at a football match, especially as a lot of people there are already pissed having spent six hours in a pub beforehand. Also a few votes in lifting the ban.

The BBC censoring its old output is just another symptom of its weakness. Stick a content warning on it if you must. “It was a different time”, “We didn’t know he was doing that sort of thing then” or whatever, but it happened. Own it and stand up for yourselves while you still can.

I keep seeing the headline “Hyrox athlete apologises for continuing race after soiling herself” so I’ve cracked and looked up “Hyrox” and frankly it’s a wonder any of them ever manage to finish the event without soiling themselves.
In each Hyrox race, participants alternate between running a kilometre and doing fitness exercises, including a sled push, burpee jumps, indoor rowing, and lunges while carrying a sandbag.

I saw a Restore Britain poster up on a front door in King’s Cross this afternoon. There was also a ripped up Zack Polanski leaflet on the steps of the same house. And now we’ve got George Galloway throwing his hat in to the ring. I’m not sure I’m enjoying being in a by-election seat.

As a perfectly normal well-adjusted child, what I was scared of when I was about three was the “egg man” from the Beatles song “I Am The Walrus”. I used to dream that there was another version of me, but egg-shaped with a shell. I’d like to thank my parents and John Lennon for this horror.

Went to see the Bayeux Tapestry. It is amazing and moving, unlike the endless queues.
People viewing the Bayeux Tapestry in its 70 metre long glass case, beneath the words of Henry of Huntingdon, “In the year 1066, the Lord the ruler carried out what he had long contemplated for the English: he delivered them for destruction to the violent and cunning Normans”.

Looking at the government front bench at yesterday's PMQs it was striking how much of the Miliband shadow cabinet from 2015 is back in place - Burnham, Miliband, Cooper, Alexander, Eagle and Powell all there. It's missing Balls, Hunt and Khan, but they're all still doing OK for themselves.
