Last June, I broke my right index finger. Back then, I was doing construction work and neglected the broken finger. For a month, I've been working on healing it. I still can't bend it properly. Last weekend, I found out that using my camera is very hard because of that bending issue.

Well, humans do stupid things. I never understood the "how to cut an avocado" videos... like it's some mystery to cut a pit fruit safely. How hard is it to run a knife all around and twist it open, or run it in two directions and get four pieces? Where did common sense go?

I worked in a steel factory. We had few people there. Steel takes time. In one shift I would need the crane four times max to move steel, the rest was watching steel move.

Every time I receive a phishing email, I think, why isn't Microsoft interested in solving this? They are not interested in solving this. Because if they were, they would have added an Outlook rule to detect external emails. Is it so we buy anti-phishing solutions from Microsoft?

I just looked at your profile. We had a cool retrofuture expo here about a year ago. showing how the future was thought of in the 1800s, going into the 1900s. Pretty cool ideas they had for mobile and video calls. It also showed retro stuff they used back then, like cough medication with cocaine.

“Ik” heb een AI app gebouwd voor een specifiek doel (bedrijfsmatig) en we managen de sources. Het mag alles zoeken maar alle sources zijn human-approved voordat we er content van laten maken. En alle content/intel is gelinkt aan sources. legal aspect. We moeten aantonen waar het vanaf komt.

Dutchie here, we got 154000 km of bikes lines here.. always shocked if there is no biking infrastructure in other countries.. if there are no hills or mountains, why not have a bike infrastructure? Line it with trees for cooling..

I once worked at a software company where some devs built a web app/service with "Personal IIS". I wondered, when installing, what the reason for the virtual directory was. Upon asking, I got this exact answer. It needs to be there; otherwise, it doesn't work on my laptop. They never worked with IIS

For a while now I have been busy with this “AI” thing called Claude 😉. Happy to say I have my first very functional app running. Took some laps around Claude to get it to fix its own mistakes and get my head around what I actually find useful, but my “conversational Finnish” app is in beta.
