Every time I receive a phishing email, I think, why isn't Microsoft interested in solving this? They are not interested in solving this. Because if they were, they would have added an Outlook rule to detect external emails. Is it so we buy anti-phishing solutions from Microsoft?

In a supermarket today; In the expired food section there is a piece young bio cheese, 4euro instead of 6,- <p1> oh there is cheese. <p2> oh, it is bio, we don’t like the taste of that.. Apparently bio cheese taste awful.. I bought it, expired cheese is a crazy idea and I love cheese, bio or not

For a while now I have been busy with this “AI” thing called Claude 😉. Happy to say I have my first very functional app running. Took some laps around Claude to get it to fix its own mistakes and get my head around what I actually find useful, but my “conversational Finnish” app is in beta.

We got some naan yesterday from a local Indian place. I made saag chicken and didn’t have time to make naan as well.. so, why not get at the best place to get it.. My god, it was soo bad… like it was warmed up in a microwave.. chewy, too thick dough, not baked long enough.. sooo disappointing.

You know what ticks me off in IT, still after all these years? Every time you install something on a Windows machine, it has to restart at least once. Most often, it will restart several times because .net requires a restart. There has to be a smarter way. Restarting a whole server.. crazy

In the Netherlands, at a certain age, you get colon cancer tests mailed. Well, I reached that age a while ago. Got my results back, and nothing to worry about. Next checkup in two years. If you do get the opportunity to check up, do so. Test, check and be in front of it.

Energy production and such are crazy in the Netherlands due to decades of very poor network management. To burn off too much produced energy (you pay for too much produced energy), I'm cooking stew-type meals. On Monday we had ragù; yesterday I made Beef bourguignon. I guess tomorrow it is Rendang.

I was on a ship the other day... between Germany and Finland. As we are on the ship, the timezone on board is Finnish. Breakfast and such are served at specific times. If you're too late, it is gone. We missed breakfast once (almost) as our mobiles showed the wrong time. I need to a TZ detector

Had a Finnish wedding the other day. They had an issue with too much foam on the beer. Not a beer expert but that sounded like a lot of pressure 😉. When the pressure was down they had good glasses of beer. During my community work we had tap issues often. It wasn’t a complete guess 😎

I had to visit church the other week. I am not religious so something struck me as odd. Why is the pastor/priest reading from a book? There wasn’t one moment (not even when praying) without reading from a page. This is their job, preaching their religion. It feels fake fiction read from a book.

Some folks go on vacation to lay on the beach… we? We go and built stuff. Terrace and fence + shaded area (still needs the roofing). We are no people to sit still. Next up sauna and something with a bit of alcohol to celebrate finishing this stage.

At Omnissa we have a yearly hackathon. This year I participated with Oliver. We created a new internal product called CIRA, created with and powered by Claude AI. As a non dev guy winning from 100 dev teams, I am surprised but happy. This is how great team work brings results.

Soemthing is odd lately either #bluesky. Some feeds are not refreshing for hours or days, and then suddenly have. I manage one feed myself that has this issue and a few feeds I have pinned show the same issue. One is focused on the Ukraine war, pretty sure there is development in the past 24h
