Weaker CPUs need to do less calculations each frame. Weaker GPUs need fewer visible things, less complex models. Less RAM needs smaller file size (lower quality) for art and sound assets. Less disk space needs less content (fewer levels, enemy types, etc). So you could, but it’ll feel different!

Oh... true. Anyway, you already meet the level requirements, so you should be good! You just gotta grind out the quests to get your rank up. But you better go fast, because I'm missable if you don't unlock me before Disc 3.

That's just how these things work, I don't make the rules... You'll need to join the adventurer's guild and reach at least A rank to qualify for that expedition.

FWIW, I am still hopeful that a reckoning of sorts is coming, if only because the rich are the ones being scammed. GenAI is simply too expensive to run and too expensive to improve. It’s a dead-end technology with only negative ROI, and there’s a limit to how long investors are willing to wait.

010

Ore!!! @roarzerker.bsky.social · 08/07/2026

And, yeah, there’s definitely sunk-cost going on, both in terms of money and reputation. A lot of people with a lot of clout talked up the amazing infinite-money-no-employees future who are going to look really stupid when it all falls apart. So they are both monetarily AND emotionally invested.

120

Ore!!! @roarzerker.bsky.social · 08/07/2026

So, IMO, the grift will keep going until it’s completely obvious to the investors, large and small, that they’ve been tricked. When the money well dries out, these companies can’t function because their tech simply can’t make more than it costs to run. They will do anything to keep the illusion up.

120

Ore!!! @roarzerker.bsky.social · 08/07/2026

The big tech companies are very clearly engaging in huge amounts of circular financing to keep things propped up for as long as possible. There’s also a lot of obvious collusion, bribes, and insider trading happening. Antitrust and monopoly laws are toothless. Journalism is largely captured.

141

Ore!!! @roarzerker.bsky.social · 08/07/2026

And so you’ve got a perfect situation for an extended grift of the richest people on the world. As long as you convince them that the rocket is launching soon, you can keep selling your moon tickets. It helps, too, that we live in a time where laws and ethics are optional for the shameless.

120

Ore!!! @roarzerker.bsky.social · 08/07/2026

It doesn’t matter that the tech doesn’t work perfectly (or even well) right now, or that people don’t like it right now, because it *might* be good someday (it won’t) and people will be forced to realize how good it is. It’s always the *next* model that’s finally going to be AGI or whatever.

120

Ore!!! @roarzerker.bsky.social · 08/07/2026

There are a lot of factors. Many people in power (CEOs, politicians, and the ultra-wealthy) genuinely believe these technologies to be infinite money glitches and are willing to do/spend anything to make sure they don’t miss out. Or at least believe there’s a *chance*, and are hedging their bets.

Got 100% in Mina the Hollower over the weekend! Impressed with how much they captured the feel of the GB/C Zeldas while still feeling like their own distinct thing. Story caused a little too much disbelief for me to suspend, but I enjoyed the tone a lot. Fun combat, though YMMV by weapon (hammer 🥰)

Here we see two anthropomorphic characters about to have sex in a castle. The dragon is standing on the edge of the bed about to loosen his partners ass with some lubricant. The other characters is lying on his back being held up by his feet by the dragon.

Homo homini lupus - "Man is a wolf to Man" -> Vince in bono malum - "Overcome evil with good" “Break the Cycle” T-shirt is now available for Pre-Order from now until June 10th! ayceeart.com/products/bre... This design is very personal to me, so I am happy to finally be able to show it off!

A photoshop mock up of a black t-shirt. The graphic on the front chest is of a mongoose surrounded by flowers. The mongoose is slightly see-through with a skeleton showing under.

The back of the shirt featuring a large illustration of a mongoose and snake locked in battle. They are surrounded by red flowers growing around them and from their small wounds.

A close up of the back graphic, cropped because bots will grab it and I want none of that here
