Becky G @rlmathematics.bsky.social · 18/09/2025I thought of these 🐣🐤🐣🐤🐥🐥 and wondered why they would be a party and who wouldn't want to be there if 🐥🐥🐥 are there. It's been a long week. I need a nap. 000
Becky G @rlmathematics.bsky.social · 01/09/2025Hi maths teachers. I don't suppose anybody would ever willing to share a lesson on telling the time on an analogue clock for year 7 (set 9 of 9), please. My laptop has broken, yesterday of all days, so I am in a bit of a pickle this week. Thank you in advance 157
Becky G @rlmathematics.bsky.social · 22/08/2025Had my pretty, flowery, rainbow, quirky, (bigger than first planned but hey ho), MATHS tattoo done today and I absolutely LOVE it! 😍😍 150
Becky G @rlmathematics.bsky.social · 27/07/2025Very close to having a row with somebody on Threads 100
Becky G @rlmathematics.bsky.social · 23/07/2025Enjoyed culture day today other than the parts where I was getting my behind whooped by year 7s at Nine Men's Morris 010
Becky G @rlmathematics.bsky.social · 23/07/2025I'd attend that workshop. I liked my history of maths module at uni. Make the conference is in Wolverhampton so I can go 😆 120
Becky G @rlmathematics.bsky.social · 23/07/2025Finished for the summer holiday! Alarm clock is off! 120
Becky G @rlmathematics.bsky.social · 22/07/2025I haven't finished school yet as for the autumn half term we had two weeks. Got to work 3days this week and the other 2 are inset bit we have worked off the time in twighlights. Never had 2 weeks in autumn before but I have to say I really felt the benefit that term and am glad we are doing it again 110
Becky G @rlmathematics.bsky.social · 22/07/2025There is a big bush at the end of my drive. Will check it for knives tomorrow. 010

Reposted by Becky G Kit Yates @kityates.bsky.social · 17/07/2025Lucy Bronze on how she decided to blast her penalty down the middle (and score). “Statistically it’s risky for the goal keeper to stand still… so yeah, I love maths”. 1141194
Becky G @rlmathematics.bsky.social · 18/07/2025Not there yet, 3 days in school left but we'll dome to everyone who has made it! 020
Becky G @rlmathematics.bsky.social · 18/07/20253 days at school left! Somebody cast a spell to make it hurry up. 010
Becky G @rlmathematics.bsky.social · 16/07/2025Sounds complicated but exciting! Where in Scotland are you going? 100
Becky G @rlmathematics.bsky.social · 16/07/2025To do... Normal teaching day Teaching morning/afternoon sports day Normal teaching day Trip day Culture day Then I am done. Crawling but I've got this! Plus, I am really happy at work at the moment. 010
Becky G @rlmathematics.bsky.social · 10/07/2025That's good. It just surprised me seeing teachers teaching it differently and I saw a Whiterose slide that said it extends across the whole graph and I always thought it doesn't extend across the whole graph, you don't go past the first and last crosses 100
Becky G @rlmathematics.bsky.social · 10/07/2025And I was taught, so have always taught it this way, not to go past the extreme ends of the data. If I'm wrong I'll change it. Does it matter in an exam? Have I done my students out of a line of best fit mark. 200
Becky G @rlmathematics.bsky.social · 10/07/2025My last day is 24th July, I'm the sauna rooms aka classrooms 😭😭😭 100
Becky G @rlmathematics.bsky.social · 10/07/2025Then I've also observed and heard been students being told the line of best fit shouldn't go beyond end crosses (if that makes sense) so like this.... 200
Becky G @rlmathematics.bsky.social · 10/07/2025In maths this week all the teachers have been teaching scatter graphs but now I have a question as I may have been teaching something incorrectly for 22 years... So, when drawing a line of best fit I have observed it being drawn right the way across the extent of the graph and pupils told to do this 120
Becky G @rlmathematics.bsky.social · 10/07/2025My destiny shit sponges theory may be back on the table. My brain has come up with some yeah but arguments 000
Becky G @rlmathematics.bsky.social · 08/07/2025Today in therapy we talked about destiny shit sponges. Probably better off not to ask but let's just say the penny is dropping about how rubbish my own theory is, we pretty much completely debunked it tonight although I still feel I've got a yeah but and a no but brewing in my brain somewhere. 000

Becky G @rlmathematics.bsky.social · 04/07/2025So, 2024/2025 groups done with. Rollover next week for the final 13 days. 010
Becky G @rlmathematics.bsky.social · 03/07/2025This step makes it make more sense, the showing any number can be written in infinite ways part. Then it is clear why you are then adding those counters. Thank you 000
Becky G @rlmathematics.bsky.social · 03/07/2025How would you explain to pupils why you create an up popper if there are no down poppers to remove? 100
Becky G @rlmathematics.bsky.social · 03/07/2025Thank you for taking the time to reply. The examples are from white rose maths, which is widely used. We don't use it but there is nothing explicit about zero pairs in our curriculum hence the discussion about do we actually use the idea enough. 000
Becky G @rlmathematics.bsky.social · 03/07/2025I will watch this when I get off the bus as not got my ear thingy wotsits. We made a display need on your post and it has already prompted some nice discussions. 220
Becky G @rlmathematics.bsky.social · 03/07/2025Based on your post we have been discussing zero pairs in our department but although we can see what is happening here we are finding it hard to articulate how you would explain to pupils what we are doing/why.Can anybody help?We seem to be fumbling over words we would say when doing these examples? 410
