Is this just saying district courts can never enjoin the federal government?
The government has also established that it will likely suffer irreparable harm from the district court's injunction
and that the balance of the equities tips in its favor. Start with this. The district court likely exceeded its Ar- ticle III authority to enjoin the activities of a coordinate branch of government. Cf. Trump v. CASA, Inc., 606 U. S. 831, 859 (2025). And courts may not exceed the bounds of their lawful authority simply because they may think an- other branch has exceeded its own. See Lujan, 504 U.S.,
at 560 (Article IlI's standing requirements help define "those disputes which are appropriately resolved through the judicial process" rather than in the political arena (in- ternal quotation marks omitted)); Alliance, 602 U.S., at 379 (federal courts do not "operate as an open forum for cit- izens to press general complaints about the way in which government goes about its business" (internal quotation
marks omitted)).

Then, there are Action Cards. They let you do other things with the cases (file a motion to dismiss, undertake discovery, appeal, etc.) or with the game board (add contacts, move your pawn elsewhere, etc.) They’re all based on real Civ Pro concepts and cases.
110
Richard Heppner 🤷🏼‍♂️ @rlheppner.bsky.social · 12/08/2026
The cards have all the information you need to determine jurisdiction and venue (the parties’ citizenship, where the claims occurred, etc.). And you determine if the defendant has minimum contacts (for PJ) based on if they are at home or have contacts landed there. (explanation in alt text)
This is a valid federal law claim. Riley (a citizen of South Wyoming) is suing the Freedom & Equality Party (a citizen of lots of states). She is bringing a federal Employment Discrimination claim for $80,000. (Because it is a federal claim, it does not matter that she is not diverse from the defendant.)

(Of course, she'd would also have to sue in state (on the game board) where she can get personal jurisdiction over the defendant, based on where it is "at home" or has contacts.)
110
Richard Heppner 🤷🏼‍♂️ @rlheppner.bsky.social · 12/08/2026
So, if you land in, say, Califoregon, you look at the cards in your hand and see if you can build a case against another player that can be brought in federal court in Califoregon. (That’s easier or harder, depending on which requirements you’re playing with.)
A closeup of the game board for TAG! The Jurisdiction Game.

you can see pawns that have landed in South Wyoming and Florissippi. You can also see home and contact tokens in various states.
210
Richard Heppner 🤷🏼‍♂️ @rlheppner.bsky.social · 12/08/2026
Each turn, you try to file a case wherever you land on the game board. The board is a map with made-up states and a 6x6 grid—you move to random new coordinates and try to make a case there. (You also establish a “contact” every time you land in a state.)

My favorite band is The National (because I’m a cliché). Anyway, every time they put out a new album, it sounds strange and bad to me… until it doesn’t.
This is what happens to us in music: First one has to learn to hear a figure and melody at all, to detect and distinguish it, to isolate it and delimit it as a separate life. Then it requires some exertion and goodwill to tolerate it in spite of its strangeness, to be patient with its appearance and expres-sion, and kindhearted about its oddity. Finally there comes a moment when we are used to it, when we wait for it, when we sense that we should miss it if it were missing; and now it continues to compel and enchant us relentlessly until we have become its humble and enraptured lovers who desire nothing better from the world than it and only it.
But that is what happens to us not only in music. That is how we have learned to love all things that we now love... Even those who love themselves will have learned it in this way; for there is no other way. Love, too, has to be learned.
