No, no, it's very simple: they already have functioning models that do this, they want to bundle them all together onto one simple easy p̶a̶y̶m̶e̶n̶t̶ .model
The model is intended to address a fundamental challenge in analysing LHC collisions. Today, reconstruction relies on a chain of specialised algorithms that progressively transform detector signals into the particles and other objects used for physics analysis. Machine learning has long played an important role in this process, improving performance across a range of specialised tasks. Foundation models offer the potential to build on these advances, learning across the whole reconstruction chain and supporting multiple tasks within a single model

What does this fund do with the shares? There's no profit from which to pay dividends and the fund can't sell them into an open market.

Or just don't drink? Wholly agree that buying something where you're unhappy with both the price _and_ the quality seems like self-harming behaviour.

Have to admit my broad view on things like this and theatre drinks is that you should budget appropriately for the outing as a whole, and not complain about the internal splits between which bits are profitable for the business and which are unprofitable.

The wine we served in the chalet I hosted was borderline undrinkable, and sometimes guests would try to guess what it cost, and usually out by a factor of ten. Wholesale wine can be remarkably cheap.
