Philly is considering making Keith Haring’s 1987 “We the Youth” in Point Breeze the city’s first historically protected exterior mural. If any mural deserves this designation, Haring's does, says art curator RJ Rushmore. Maybe it shouldn’t be the only one we protect, either. bit.ly/4wQxQKQ

When architect Moseley Putney took down a wall in a mixed-use development in Louisville, he revealed a 1985 David Wojnarowicz mural. “I popped a hole in the drywall and ripped enough out that I could put a flashlight on it. And there it was,” Putney said. “It was like looking into a freakin’ tomb.”

Overlooked #graffiti gem in Philly’s Strawberry Mansion. Pretty sure this wall was organized by Nemel IRAK (RIP), but does anyone know the story? Definitely saw a drug deal going down next to this piece and someone asked what agency I was working for so… glad I saw got the shot and moved on.
