Funny this, considering he adores Bobby Lee, Stonewall Jackson, A.P. Hill, and all of the other Confederate bearded “warriors.”

I still have VOA (Voice of America) saved on my internet “radio.” Americans at home may not realize what was illegally destroyed by Trump’s regime: VOA was founded in 1942 to fight fascist propaganda and ACCURATELY report what we are to millions who may never visit the US. Now, they hear silence.

As I understood it, felon Trump was looking to strip the mail-in vote from civilians living abroad, but not from active duty military based abroad. The former tending historically to lean more Democratic, while the latter have leaned Republican, of course probably had nothing to do with it.

😂😂😂 Says the 34x felon who has tried to grave rob and affix his name to “The John F Kennedy *MEMORIAL* Center for the Performing Arts” and who has bulldozed the East Wing. Every president does the Oval Office as they wish. The all had better taste than 3rd-rate bankrupt Atlantic City casino.

#FreedomOfThePress #1stAmendment #TrumpRegime Self-explanatory: www.gocomics.com/robert-ariai...
Political cartoon, by Robert Ariail, posted October 1, 2026.

1776 Declaration of Independence main drafter, U.S. Minister (ambassador) to France (1785-89), 1st Secretary of State (1790-1793), Vice President (1797-1801), and President (1801-1809), Thomas Jefferson, dressed in “18th century” clothing, holding a scroll with “Jefferson” visible, is quoted in the left frame. Text:

“WERE IT LEFT TO ME TO DECIDE WHETHER WE SHOULD HAVE A GOVERNMENT WITHOUT NEWS-PAPERS, OR NEWSPAPERS WITHOUT A GOVERNMENT, I SHOULD NOT HESITATE A MOMENT TO PREFER THE LATTER.”

Right frame, at extreme right (no pun intended here), is a drawing of current President (and 34x convicted felon) Donald J. Trump, who angrily points at Jefferson beside him and declares:

“YOU'RE BANNED, TOO!”

When I last received a new passport via the London embassy, it came by embassy courier, was delivered to my front door, and I had to sign for it personally. Instead of spending 24/7 negotiating peace everywhere, this is what this Thomas Jefferson successor is reduced to. Talk about "undignified."

So presumably Utah "Republican" Senator Mike Lee would have no problem, then, if we, say, also bulldozed the Brigham Young Historical Park and demolished its memorials?

Actually, they were in Europe this summer in bigger numbers than ever. The jump in Americans’ travel here may have been partly about getting away from *him* briefly. But seeing our allies in person can counteract MAGA/Fox propaganda and may also be spurring a desire for changes at home.

Sulla? Marius? They were also great (and brutal) soldiers. Trump will not be on foot, waving a sword over his head, leading U.S. legions into Tehran. Trump is closer to Crassus - thieving rich guy, militarily arrogant, captured by the Persians who killed him by pouring liquid gold into his mouth.

Vaughn Meader could brilliantly do JFK, Phil Hartman similarly Reagan, and so many other comedians have well-done all other presidents. Maybe it’s my personal taste, but I can’t say I have ever found any Trump impressionist to be truly satirical/funny. It is not the comedians’ fault, though…

If this quote is accurate, Heather Cox Richardson is misreading the situation. There is no Republican Party in Congress that is independent of felon Trump. That party existed in 2016. But by now that "Republican" name is a legacy facade meant to deceive and imply that separate entity still exists…

True, if someone who writes doesn’t publish they are still technically a writer. But to what end? If a writer does not cross the Rubicon to becoming an *author*, thus enabling us out here to see their writing, they are basically just keeping a diary. #WritingCommunity #Booksky #5amWritersClub

Goebbels had Germans listening to propaganda on radio, reading it in papers, and seeing it in cinemas. He pushed it at them. Listening to foreign radio became illegal. He would have loved cable TV, and been stunned to learn US fascists get viewers who *willingly* won’t just change the channel.

It has also not dawned on Trump and flunkies that triumphal arches are found mostly in FAILED empires: Napoleon's was not finished until long after his defeat and death; Marble Arch is in a London that's no longer an imperial capital; and the Arch of Titus is just off the ruins of the Roman Forum.

The world outside the U.S. does not get that the U.S. is going through a “cold civil war.” Felon Trump and an exceedingly corrupt, neo-Confederate, neo-fascist “party” are trying to replace the 1787 Constitution with a “Putin regime”; and most Americans don’t want it. The “battles” are ongoing.

It is not just the BBC. Regularly, @classicfm.com frames news updates as if Farage is the main opposition leader. Earlier today it reported on Burnham preparing to face “Farage and Badenoch” - in that order. Objectively, Farage’s “party” has 8 seats and simply does not merit that prominence.

The Pardon power was one of anti-federalist George Mason’s objections to the Constitution… in 1787. And in 1787 most everyone, including Mason, KNEW the president would likely be George Washington, whom they trusted to observe the spirit of all laws. The big worry was, what happens AFTER Washington?
