Just finished reading the first book in the Legend of Drizzt series. Unfortunately, Drizzt is predictable, cliche, and ridiculously overpowered to the sense there is no real sense of peril or struggle (which also means no sense of growth of vulnerability). Final score out of 10? I give it a 5.

A sad post today. Yesterday we sadly had to put down the family dog. She was getting quite old (going on 15+ years), and had been struggling with lung cancer. It sadly just got to the stage where we decided it best not to let her suffer longer than necessary.

Well that was new. Dog wakes up from sleeping and starts zooming between every room repeatedly and whimpering as if spooked by something. Weird thing is nothing happened so no idea what could have spooked her. Took me 15 minutes to get her to calm down.
