The basis of global capitalism comes from the surplus value extracted from the “periphery” to the "metropolises". Out of humanity these colonized societies must be emancipated, and at the same time it is a requirement for a true global socialism, even if the West has to sink into misery.

I couldn't agree more. Western proletariat has been fed by the exploitation of the proletariat of the Global South, and without the radical acceptance of that fact leading to the renunciation of colonial benefits and the emancipation of those peoples, there can be no socialist internationalism.

It really is a missing link and a book that should be much more widely read in white Marxist circles. Together with Saïd Bouamama's “Figures de la révolution africaine”, it profoundly changed my worldview. We have a lot to decolonize, and the struggle for emancipation is mainly in the global south.

Lest we forget: In Putin's case, the ICC prosecutor requested an arrest warrant on 22-2-2023, which was issued less than a month later (17-03-2023). In the case of Netanyahu, the arrest warrant was requested on 20-5-2024 - six months later we are still waiting!
