It's been about 7 years since I've done one of these, let's do it again! Day One: Mushroom, paired with Day Two: Leaves! The prompts reminded me of when me, my brother, and dad would go mushroom hunting with grandpa, so that's what I funneled into this. Also spooky trees! #Drawlloween #NoAIart

A digital drawing of a brown, monotone forest. The trees look gnarly and oddly shaped, a purposeful design choice to make them appear spooky. They also are littered with shelf mushrooms and lichen to break up the monotony of the solid coloured bark. Orange light, presumably the sun, filters in from between the trunks and branches. Giving the piece a warm, comforting feel as if you just woke up to forage for mushrooms yourself.

Day 3: Haunted combined with Day 4: Antlers! The original idea was gonna be my sona alive with antlers haunting her, but the idea of ghost me haunting someone seemed to fit better. I need to work on my colouring and shading ough. #Art #Drawlloween #NoAIart

A digital drawing my my sona, Ellie, as a blue ghost. She is in the middle of pushing herself through a wooden wall, cut off at the waist, and seemingly screaming into the air. Unlike her usual design, she has a pair of large antlers on her head. An added trait from the Drawlloween prompt. Her eyes glow bright white through her glasses and her hair flows as if there is no gravity.

FurAffinity (a furry focused online art gallery) is looking for funding after refusing to comply with advertiser demands. And oh boy are some of those advertiser demands pretty ridiculous. (alt text added)

A post from a FurAffinity developer blog which says:

What makes this situation frustrating is that the bar for what advertisers consider "adult content" is very very low. For example they consider plus size characters, two characters hugging, and "barbie doll nudity" to be adult content, despite these being normal everyday things that are not adult at all. This is why you may see other sites with restrictions on how characters cant be posed or dressed "too provocatively."

We receive a daily list of items that they have flagged as violations and have to sort through them. If they're legitimate violations, we re-rate them. If they aren't, we don't touch them. Submissions that are not violations of our policies are still held against us.

We have had many email conversations, Zoom calls, and even an in-person meeting with representatives to help resolve this to no avail.

Go support Furaffinity. As one of the remaining furry dedicated platforms, its important to maintain and support it. If you can support it financially, that is great, but spreading the word is also important.

TLDR: Fur Affinity's advertising partners are demanding that they ban adult content. Sciggles and FA want to firmly tell them to go fuck themselves. If they're going to be able to afford to do that, they need the community's help. Pitch in. Keep furry weird. www.furaffinity.net/journal/1143...

FurAffinity is not a perfect site, but it is absolutely where my primary source of income came to be. I owe this site my life and livelihood and it should continue to exist. It's run by real people. It's against AI. It's against NSFW censorship. It has the largest repository of furry art. It works.
