Joe Ward @riverseo.bsky.social · 56mThis particular example seems to have been given as a gift to this particular doctor though? I can't find any kind of chicanery in his procurement of it. It's cool it has gone back though where it can be probably more appreciated by people who have more ties to the culture it came from. 000
Joe Ward @riverseo.bsky.social · 07/10/2026Noam isn't a great example of anything anymore especially since his ties to Epstein came to light. That quote could apply to himself. 110
Joe Ward @riverseo.bsky.social · 02/10/2026This would go for nearly any medical intervention then. The amount of times patients have gone away and did their own thing with opioids, chemotherapy, cardiac medications...had one patient who sprayed GTN on their chest. It isn't a reason not to help those people, it means you help them more. 1173

Joe Ward @riverseo.bsky.social · 28/09/2026Yep it's pretty insane that membership in any of the main unionist parties goes hand in hand with being an order member, no issues at all there. It's infuriating how it is being treated like it means nothing to let them parade when really we should be working towards reducing its relevance in NI. 010
Joe Ward @riverseo.bsky.social · 28/09/2026There is so little recognition that the Orange Order's entire one existence is as a sectarian organisation. As has been put time and time again, who would tolerate any organisation like that marching anywhere? It's explicit in their history and conduct. 120
Joe Ward @riverseo.bsky.social · 27/09/2026Can we all assemble into some very well balanced mega-zord. 010
Joe Ward @riverseo.bsky.social · 27/09/2026I understand what your saying, but the Orange Order are fundamentally an anti-Catholic organisation, created to promote Protestant ascendancy. Should a white nationalist organisation be permitted whether by courts or not to parade through a black neighbourhood? 120
Joe Ward @riverseo.bsky.social · 27/09/2026would they have had to be finished by 9.30 anyway? If they tried later on today would that have been against what was allowed. 010

Joe Ward @riverseo.bsky.social · 25/09/2026I did find it fishy why GB News was their first port of call. 010
Joe Ward @riverseo.bsky.social · 25/09/2026I understand that but I think I'm more concerned by the lack of comment from the government on all of it. They were more vocal about PA in the lead up to their proscription. I kinda feel the likes of Danny Tommy etc are being fairly explicit in their aims and intentions. 120
Joe Ward @riverseo.bsky.social · 25/09/2026I don't agree that PA met anywhere near the need for proscription and at least in my view these FR Groups have been far more organised than PA and a bigger threat to the peace and little in comparison to PA, seems to be being talked about by the govt in regards them. 010
Joe Ward @riverseo.bsky.social · 25/09/2026Choosing which actions are worthy of proscription would come down to a political belief though and what elements of the law you then choose to apply compared to some groups we are now dealing with. Long way of saying I don't think the law has ever been politically neutral. 100
Joe Ward @riverseo.bsky.social · 25/09/2026Could you not argue that the proscription of PA has already put the law to a certain world view and a very online one at that? I at least remember the government commenting on PA actions before doing something. That would seem a political choice and application of the law. 100

Joe Ward @riverseo.bsky.social · 20/09/2026I fully understand why people like them and I don't have kids myself but I do also see them maybe create anxiety in the parents (I've not had an update yet is everything ok) Maybe once a kid is 16 there needs to be a discussion about turning off location sharing and the like as a right of passage. 000
Joe Ward @riverseo.bsky.social · 20/09/2026This starts very early now though. My brother gets daily updates about my niece in nursery. People are monitoring how their teens are spending their allowance through banking apps. It's probably harder to give up that level of monitoring than it's ever been, though necessary to give up. 111
Joe Ward @riverseo.bsky.social · 14/09/2026I'm thinking it's probably trying to get a plan in place ahead of any Reform government. 110

Joe Ward @riverseo.bsky.social · 08/09/2026I think maybe back in the day the different consoles capabilities affected the choices you made in how the game looked. N64 could do some things the PS1 couldn't and vice versa. That was probably true up until PS3 days. Now all consoles are PCs they aren't that different tech wise. 000
Joe Ward @riverseo.bsky.social · 02/09/2026So you naturally only look at the games you are more certain to like- so every year is a good year generally 000
Joe Ward @riverseo.bsky.social · 02/09/2026Could it be you could feasibly watch 100 movies in a year but you can only maybe complete a smaller number of games. You are more careful of the games you select to play because of bigger upfront investment and you take less chances on stuff you may not like. 100
Joe Ward @riverseo.bsky.social · 28/08/2026I feel like this applies to physical health questionnaires. I feel like there is a difference when the questionnaire is completed by the patient themselves versus me administering it and emphasising the time frame more. 130
Joe Ward @riverseo.bsky.social · 24/08/2026Yeah it doesn't make a lot of sense. Plus they only design them specifically in best form to run....can it run and do a jump at the end or go make a sandwich that would be more impressive. 100
Joe Ward @riverseo.bsky.social · 21/08/2026I've always assumed that the show must time the questions to make sure the mix between long and short ones is fair across all the contestants. Joe Ward @riverseo.bsky.social · 17/08/2026All relative? I think similar with tennis watching a slam, oh this person ranked 140th in the world is terrible but then you remember there are only 139 players better than this person in the whole world but they get seen as a nobody! 120

Joe Ward @riverseo.bsky.social · 16/08/2026Benito's in Chorlton is actually a good use of a bar/food/cafe combo with social activities on the go in the evening. 120
Joe Ward @riverseo.bsky.social · 16/08/2026Agree I think it's important to have a kinda low expectations place where you might get to know a few people from turning up regularly. Not many cafes are like the one in Friends, they are often just get your food and drink then leave. Even ones which allow people to work have limits in place. 120
Joe Ward @riverseo.bsky.social · 15/08/2026I suppose discoverability becomes worse. How would an AI recommend a less well known piece of art over something from someone more established?
