Weird dream - I had to design a machine that four alligators could operate to grab, lift, and crack open chicken eggs for them to catch and eat. They would lay in a cross shape, facing an egg on a platform with a weighted wooden plate with metal nails pointed downwards and fixed on a pulley.

I had a dream last night that my son had secretly taken a Zelda II world record, had submitted to a GDQ event, and was accepted. He asked to attend for the first time, and I said yes, so I figured he would just receive a child badge. Boy was I in for a shock when we arrived!

When I get sick sometimes I have awful fever dreams. My brain creates an unsolvable puzzle, which it also believes is the source of my nocturnal suffering. If I could just solve that puzzle in my sleep, I’d feel better, but it never does. Blue Prince is the closest game to evoke that feeling in me.

Played some Dinosaur Island tonight with some friends. It turns out that if your dinosaur theme park kills enough patrons, you probably won’t win the game. My park did have the most dinosaurs though, so that’s a plus.

The past couple of years I’ve been looking for VR games that would be good candidates for Big Bad Game-a-thon. I’ve played 2 Cactus Cowboy BR games for BBG, and both were heavily flawed in different ways. This year I’m playing through the third game in the series, and I’ve got to say, I’m torn.

#SGDQ2025 was the best GDQ I’ve experienced to date. I got to spend time with incredible people, old friends and new. The Kuso Live tournament and Kuso GM dinner have inspired me to start streaming again. I’ll post some rough hours here once I determine a schedule.
