The way we completely lost control of that game against Coventry the second Cherki stepped off the pitch...scary. We truly cannot replace him. He dictates our play and helps us control games so much more than we realize until he's actually taken off and replaced by Foden. He's just 1 of 1 atm.

This is why I still think we need a true 8 that's all about the hard graft while having silky technicality. We need to replace what Bernardo gave us. It's why I wanted Akliouche before he went to PSG and still want us to get Maza when Kovacic leaves. They can be converted into that role.

Yeah, same. Very talented. Just never had space for him in the team for obvious reasons. He's going to be much more of a true midfielder in the end than a final third guy like Phil, I reckon. Mukasa's also been doing great at West Ham, so it's good on the academy front, esp as McAidoo is amazing.
