I get what you're saying but I went to see it and really enjoyed it. I think there is a sentimental wave of goodwill toward De Luca & Abdy for taking chances & backing auteurs, for an audacious movie that's beautifully crafted, etc. I get why actors & directors are responding to it.

I just haven’t been able to stomach him when he’s both writing & directing with no checks & balances with projects such as BEING THE RICARDOS. I think people might be a bit down on him as a director? It also seems a tall, almost impossible order to do successful sequel to THE SOCIAL NETWORK.
