Throat cancers in men caused by hpv are so common in my friend community. This vaccine is game changing. So glad it's there for younger generations

The HPV vaccine protects against cervical, vaginal, anal, penile, vulvar, and head/neck cancers (in all genders)
HOW EFFECTIVE IS THE HPV VACCINE?

The HPV vaccine is among the most effective vaccines ever developed. Gardasil was approved after four multinational studies in which 21,000 women aged 16-26 showed that Gardasil had an almost 100% effectiveness rate in preventing precancerous cervical, vaginal, and vulvar lesions, and genital warts.

Gardasil 9 was approved after a global randomized controlled trial that showed it to be 97% effective against cancers caused by the five additional HPV types (31, 33,45, 52, and 58), and equally effective against the four HPV types shared with Gardasil (6, 11, 16, and 18).

Real-world data from vaccinated populations show dramatic declines in HPV infection rates and in precancerous cervical lesions, particularly in countries with high vaccination uptake. Early data also suggest reductions in cervical cancer incidence among women who were vaccinated as adolescents.

WHY IS HPV VACCINATION IMPORTANT?

HPV is responsible for about 5% of all cancers worldwide. In the US alone, HPV causes tens of thousands of cancers every year across six cancer types - anal, cervical, oropharyngeal, penile, vaginal, and
vulvar. The vaccine can prevent the vast majority of these cancers when administered before exposure to HPV.

It will also scare parents from vaccinating their sons vs. HPV & scare men from getting the vaccine Vaccinating boys & men protects them directly from HPV-related cancers (eg, head/neck/anal cancers) AND it protects women from cervical cancer via herd immunity www.sciencealert.com/vaccinating-...

Vaccinating Boys Against HPV Could Eliminate Cervical Cancer
Not enough young men are getting vaccinated against the human papillomavirus (HPV), and in some nations, it may be undermining the elimination of cervical cancer.

I've heard people make claims that AI would lead to a new Renaissance, but I didn't imagine it'd happen like this:
Screenshot of a Tweet from Pope Leo XIV. It reads:

"In this era of artificial intelligence, it is becoming urgen to distinguish human art from what machines produce. There is an ontological difference, even before an aesthetic one, between art and what a machine can generate through statistical calculation based on millions of images created by others. Algorithms lack the spark of humanity. For this reason, the Church wishes to renew an alliance with artists and cultural institutions to safeguard our humanity."

Also, pay attenrion to how you mark your ballot. Here they suddenly say an X is spoiling the ballot, you have to colour in the whole circle. In spite of the marketing logo saying "Vote" with an X in the O!

That’s why public opinion is up for grabs. Our arguments don’t change people’s underlying attitudes or values (or if they do it’s very slow) but they do help people chose a different underlying value as the decision rule.

A digital illustration of a version of the big board from Wheel of Fortune. An array of green rectangles (each bearing an icon of a hand with crossed fingers inside a circle with rays), and white rectangles that indicate the letters in the secret phrase contestants are trying to guess. The board is not yet solved and reads like this:

M_YB_ I_
_ILL H_PP_N
__D_Y

Standing next to the board in a shiny pink and maroon evening gown and ready to turn around newly-guessed letters is a woman whose head is a human hand with crossed fingers.

Below the board in the space where viewers at home are informed what type of phrase is in play it simply reads ‘PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE’
