Amazon: This is the third time we have done marketing for The Rings of Power, and we have become exceedingly inefficient at it.

"The Lord of the Rings is Amazon's flagship IP--" is the flagship in the room with us...?

They're calling it the least advertised billion dollar show ever made

I'm hearing there'll be a third season of The Rings of Power this year. Anyone know if this is true?

The power of the Elven-rings was very great, and that which should govern them must be a thing of surpassing potency... ... so great was the Ring’s power of lust, that anyone who used it became mastered by it; it was beyond the strength of any will (even his own)... [The Fall of Númenor]

So I hear Galadriel will be engaging in a playful duel with Celeborn in season 3. Really interesting stuff.

If Amazon releases a Rings of Power trailer this week I will pretend to like Celeborn

"But for you, who are our nearer kin, our regret is far greater. Yet, if we consider the briefness of life in all Middle-earth, must we not believe that your brevity is also part of your nature?" [ATHRABETH FINROD AH ANDRETH]

The Valar indeed may not withdraw the gift of death, which comes to Men from Ilúvatar ... but in the matter of the Half-elven ... [the Valar] judged that to the sons of Eärendil should be given choice of their own destiny. [The Silmarillion]

Amazon why stop at physical media? The next obvious step is to make an intricately detailed Halbrand / Galadriel statuette of them standing very close to each other while tightly gripping Finrod's dagger between them with erotic and phallic undertones. Limited run, priced at $1000.

There definitely will be if there's a UK one but if it's any consolation I hear 4Ks are not region locked

I mean. I'm still a bit salty that Rings of Power was the only show that took this long, while stuff like Reacher and Fallout got bluray announcements WHILE AIRING EPISODES. But hey. I'll get over it.

Lord of the Rings would be so lame if Celebrimbor had made something else. Imagine if it was called "The Lord of the Necklaces" or "The Lord of the Bracelets." Gandalf and Elrond debating what to do with "the One Armlet." Would suck so bad.

#MírielWeek Day 6: The sea is always right This magnificent commission was made by @cursedandunie (on twt) and as you can see it couldn't have turned out more stunning. The idea was that this would be a portrait of Míriel as Queen of the Sea made after her death as a kind of +

[Pharazôn] had fared often abroad, as a leader in the wars that the Númenóreans made then in the coastlands of Middle-earth ... he seized the sceptre into his own hand, taking the title of Ar-Pharazôn ... The Elendili (Elf-friends) alone were not subservient [to his rule]. [The Fall of Númenor]

And it came to pass that Tar-Palantir grew weary of grief and died. He had no son, but a daughter only, whom he named Míriel in the Elven-tongue; and to her now by right and the laws of the Númenóreans came the sceptre. [The Silmarillion]
