iiinova — where your digital self keeps evolving

Art vs Artist 2025! I didn't think I'd have enough to show for, but I dug up some studies and doodles as filler 😊 another year defeated! We even get a new selfie doodle this year hehe #artvsartist

Ringlov's art vs artist grid: 8 drawings in a 3x3 grid, with a graphite self-portrait doodle in the centre. Clockwise around the selfie, starting from top-left:
1. a portrait study of a person in a fawn costume, wearing horns, fluffy ears, and a painted snout on their nose, long brown wavy hair and mustache and beard fitting in perfectly 👌,
2. a portrait study of a short-haired person wearing glasses, leaning their chin on the back of their hand, looking absent-mindedly to the right, rendered in faux burnt sienna oil paint + turpentine in Procreate,
3. a digital pencil sketch of a curly-haired bearded man wearing a coat with the collar popped up, looking towards the left,
4. a graphite pencil + watercolour sketch of a highlander cat with its cute curly ears,
5. an ink + watercolour drawing of a white mouse wearing striped pants and a maple seed tied to its back that looks like wings, brandishing a needle sword with a button for a guard, standing in blossoming moss,
6. another faux oil + turpentine sketch in Procreate, of a woman in 3/4 view, making eye contact with the viewer, her long curly hair framing her face,
7. a drawing of a Dragon Age character with a winged cape, jumping towards the viewer, big grin on their face, their long black curly hair flowing behind them, the billowing cape making it look like they're flying,
8. a drawing of a white anthropomorphic feline character brandishing a bo staff, in a low stance, looking menacingly off to the right

Carogu, @tine5.bsky.social's feisty OC! this was meant to be revenge on artfight but i goofed and missed the deadline 😂

White anthropomorphic cat with bright green eyes in a bo staff stance, ready to fight!

Khalia for fishbabe on tumblr! www.tumblr.com/fishbab This was so much fun, I missed good old inky drawing! The only thing that could've made this more fun was if I actually drew it on paper 😁 #artfight #ringsrooks #rook #veilguard #dragonage #artfight2025

A digital, faux-traditional ink drawing of an elf from the back, deep in thought. She's wearing full armour and holding a large sword in one arm, leaning the blade against her right shoulder. Her long black hair is gently flowing in the wind.

an attack on my friend for #artfight2025! his drow warlock from bg3 ✨ this was his first year on art fight and i had the honour of drawing first blood hehehe he's not on here so here's his artfight link instead artfight.net/~mbechros 😁 #artfight #bg3

A white-haired drow warlock looking over his shoulder at the viewer. His face is illuminated by blue light of a spell in his hand. His red eyes glimmer in the darkness.

If you see this post a beach photo from your phone okay lol

Bracklesham Bay, south of England, taken by me in February 2025.
Rocky coast of West Sussex under a gloomy overcast February sky. The tide is low and the beach is littered with rocks smoothed over to perfection by eons of waves, interspersed with millions upon millions of tiny fossilised remains of creatures that have been dead for longer than the oldest human idea. The sun would have liked to make an appearance through the clouds, but there were too many thoughts in the air, it was too thick with existential ponderings. And also humidity, it was raining.

for the first time ever i managed to take part in #hourlycomicday!! there's so much i wish i'd done differently in these, but i'm not going back to fix things, they are done, they EXIST, and that's all that matters! #hourlycomicday2025

QRP with your couple art!! 💖 Hope yall don't mind me posting some really old art (bc 🔥 burnout 💀) but this used to be my ✨ jam ✨ my bread and butter, my raison d'art

A drawing of Seiya Kou and Usagi Tsukino from Sailor Moon season 5, Sailor Stars. They're in the rain, it's a closeup of them from the side, they're both crying and Seiya is gently wiping away Usagi's tears while saying "I'm not good enough, am I?". I'm totally normal about this.

A drawing of my original characters Ju and Cal, embracing as they're saying goodbye. Ju is a blue half-orc sporting a long undercut tied up with string, and he's wearing a sleeveless top that shows off his strong shoulders. Ju's hands are cupping Cal's cheeks as he holds their foreheads close, his dark blue bangs falling onto on Cal's head. Their eyes are closed. Cal's short pink hair and elf ears are illuminated from behind by a warm firelight; he is holding onto Ju's arm and whispering "Just come back soon, okay?"

A drawing of Otabek Altin and Yuri Plisetsky from Yuri on Ice!!! dancing in their Welcome to the Madness outfits: Yuri is wearing a glittery black torn up sleeveless top, black leather pants, black fingerless gloves covered in glitter, and heavy smokey eyes, while Otabek is wearing a leather jacket, grey t-shirt, jeans, and black fingerless gloves without glitter. If I remember right I was using tango references for their pose. Yuri is leading and he's holding Otabek by his waist while Otabek is leaning back over Yuri's thigh, and holding onto Yuri's shoulder, his shirt riding up from the friction to reveal his bellybutton. Sorry this description is a mess, I'm not very good at writing proper alt text or verbally describing my drawings!

Another drawing of Otabek Altin and Yuri Plisetsky from Yuri on Ice!!! in which Otabek is embracing Yuri and kissing his cheek so hard one of Yuri's eyes is squished shut, while Yuri is grinning and flipping the viewer off. Otabek is wearing a leather jacket, and what can be seen of Yuri shows off a rolled up white sleeve, purple sunglasses on his head, and black nailpolish. Yuri's hair is long and tied back in a messy ponytail. I still love them, to this day.

All of these were drawn with a combination of fudenosuke calligraphy pens, a pentel pocket brush, a pentel grey ink aquash, and a pentel fude brush pen (not pictured for whatever reason)

It felt soooo nice to not be under the pressure of coming up with entire illustrations every day of inktober and instead to just... doodle. Like, for fun! Can you imagine, drawing for fun? I forgot what that was like, for the longest time.

Here are some of my #inktober2024 drawings -- I went through a bit of an obsession with Our Flag Means Death and pretty much only doodled Taika Waititi's face in ink for about a month there 🙃 #ourflagmeansdeath #ofmd #blackbeard #edteach #taikawaititi

I've been feeling reluctant about posting my work online lately, partly due to... ✨ global circumstances ✨, and partly due to my own lack of confidence in what I've been able to create lately, but regardless, here's last year's #artvsartist I was surprised I was able to pool 8 things I liked 🙃

Yes, I'm religious. I believe in the Holy Trinity. Sidenote, I love these bandwagons, they feel like the internet of old, cross posting memes on LiveJournal, pure vibes

Audra McDonald, Anne Hathaway and Raúl Esparza in the Park production of Twelfth Night, promo image. Countess Olivia (Audra McDonald) is cradling Cesario/Viola's cheek (Anne Hathaway) with her left hand, placing a gentle kiss on her lips, while simultaneously stabbing Duke Orsino (Raúl Esparza), who's leaning his head desperately on the back of Viola's shoulder, with a rapier in her right hand.

We're doing a thing over on Cara where we share a collage to show how we draw eyes, and this is mine, made up of what I had easily accessible on my hard drive lol

I'm ringlov, I like drawing horns and pointy ears and here are some of my drawings 😊

A portrait of Vash the Stampede, the way he looks in Trigun Stampede from 2023. He faces to the left, his hair is ruffled, and he looks pensive. He's set against an abstract purple background.

An ink drawing of a tiefling with big ram horns being subjected to some dark magic. Hands with long black talons are hovering above their head, drawing wisps of energy from their eyes.

A digital portrait of Mulan. She's looking over her shoulder to the right. Her hair is up in her signature bun she wears as Ping.
