Fiona from Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn with a perfect level up, increasing all 8 of her stats which is really funny as she's considered Very Bad™.

Cures and treatments that many of your constituents still can't afford in a for-profit healthcare system, Tamara. This research is important but to your most vulnerable constituents, your voters, not consultants, they still wouldn't be able to access them without accruing mountains of medical debt.

Editing the Vampire list so it's compatible with PCs but then leaving in Dragon Eye to give them 3 additional actions for free every turn is, at times, too beautiful to understand, but everyone should play a Vampire because 4 actions per round for nothing. I suggest instead an Additional Skill.

20k words analyzing the 80 classes of Megaten X and all its supplements Good: nearly every skill can be made usable Bad: figuring out how 80 classes work and interact with each other, crashing out over Vampire and Persona User.

Okay I'm still sad but it would have been absolutely iconic if it happened September 25 and all this to say I propose 9/25 as Dolly Parton Day.

000

Jack Rime @rimejack.bsky.social · 25/08/2026

Look I'll be so real I was only keeping myself in check for Dolly's sake. It was always going to happen someday but what a fucking blow she deserved to see this shitshow through.

Star Wars: The Old Republic. A middle-aged female Cyborg character with gray hair in a bun is seated in the Coruscant apartment stronghold, looking off to the right. Behind her is a large rock pillar with pots full of a burning substance. Far in the background is a Rodian (Ouannii) performing on a stage, blocked by the aforementioned pillar.

Jenny Nicholson, seated behind a pillar and unable to see Gaya and Rodian performer Ouannii, from her Galactic Starcruiser video that I have been watching on repeat while playing SWTOR.

I think one of my gripes with -finder games is that it can be hard for newbies to wrap their heads around the 3 action economy (and unlearn habits from Dragon Game). It's kind of a nice middle ground even if it's a d%/d10 system rather than a d20 one. Main complexity is at the start.

000

Jack Rime @rimejack.bsky.social · 11/06/2026

In other, more palatable news, the SMT X RPG is actually pretty good so far? Low level have low TNs but after character building the gameplay is simple and easy to grasp. Declare action(s) > Accuracy check > Enemy Dodge check > Resolve (Power checks, Affinities, etc.) > Next in order

I was gonna crash out but realized it's like talking to a brick wall and the poor social media intern doesn't deserve it. I've sent you dozens of calls and letters atp with cagey responses at best if there's a response at all. Gonna blow off steam and bully FRJ instead.

Hold a town hall for the public. We demand answers from our elected officials.

The meme with an elephant in the room saying, "Address me" because... because there's a lot going on that isn't being addressed that I couldn't encapsulate in only 2000 characters. Senator Baldwin has not held a town hall with the public in over a year to address, you know, everything going on and as a constituent that makes me really mad. Never vote for her again if she runs in 2030 mad. Primary her personally mad.

000

Jack Rime @rimejack.bsky.social · 22/04/2026

Who as in She (generic) as opposed to Who as in She (possible misgendering).

000

Jack Rime @rimejack.bsky.social · 22/04/2026

We're asking "Why" when the real answer is "Who" and she's at the point her Wikipedia page was taken down for irrelevance.

100

Jack Rime @rimejack.bsky.social · 17/04/2026

To vastly oversimplify, SMT X gives off pf1e and TC gives off 3.x gaming: mostly backwards-compatible but more refined, which makes sense given the two came out within a couple years of each other.

000

Jack Rime @rimejack.bsky.social · 17/04/2026

And I think it's really interesting how CoC is/was the system of choice in Japan compared to Dragon Game, given TC/SMT X are d% roll-under-TN systems. But Dragon 5 was not out in the early-2000s.

110

Jack Rime @rimejack.bsky.social · 17/04/2026

TC is definitely an earlier system and wants you to really focus on doing it in the universe they've set up (Nocturne). I've read it's more of a difference in market appeal (very structured/prefabricated adventure vs more freeform).

100

Jack Rime @rimejack.bsky.social · 17/04/2026

But! The character creation is so simple (barring adding on the mechanics from later books please don't ask me about Bonds and even the base game fusion tables make my head hurty).

That is to say the fan translation contains a number of errors that I can't tell if they were transposed from the original work or just One Guy taking on hundreds of pages of rule-dense work translating between two very different languages.

100

Jack Rime @rimejack.bsky.social · 17/04/2026

on my smt bullshit again with Tokyo Conception and I'm hoping it makes the publishers see that there's enough interest for the SMT X books to get an official English translation because I want to see how it plays rather than how it reads.

110

Jack Rime @rimejack.bsky.social · 17/04/2026

You have not held a town hall for constituents to address our grievances in over a year.

000

Jack Rime @rimejack.bsky.social · 23/03/2026

"Americans are tired," would have been a banger post. Unsolicited advice from a nobody considering primarying you in 2030: Host a town hall where your constituents can ask questions and raise issues that aren't prescreened because they might be unpleasant or difficult to answer. Leave that to FRJ.

As a constituent I think that waiting over two months for yet another canned email response is unacceptable. Tell the consultants whispering in your ear to pound sand and listen to people. We want this organization abolished and the people responsible for these atrocities brought to justice.

000

Jack Rime @rimejack.bsky.social · 25/01/2026

Defund and abolish. Nothing less. This is the nicest, most moderate position to take: the complete defunding and abolition of ICE. Bare minimum. Turn off the consultants and instead listen to your constituents.

020

Jack Rime @rimejack.bsky.social · 24/01/2026

How many of us will you let them execute and frame as domestic terrorists before you have anything more than vague concerns? These are our neighbors. Our friends. Our families. Defund and Abolish ICE.

After my little incident with a car a couple months ago, my alderman wrote back and said they'd be checking the lighting in the neighborhood since it's usually dark which is good because "dark" is like 5 and there's children and elderly folks close by
