It is the year 2026 and I have finally played through the Myst series and I present to you the official Rik Myst Tierlist which is definitely the only correct opinion

Thank goodness for this, the dpad on the Switch 2 Pro controller is so atrocious 🤣

Found this tierlist I made of all the King's Quest games. I still think this is how they'd fall for me tbh.

I have major issues with Sony's direction with PS5 of course but man...Windows Central articles are always so fucking funny

Me every time I see a pic of chubby Ryan Gosling

Game 5 - Thank Goodness You're Here: "British the videogame". Very funny and silly and just kind of a joy, if you have a free afternoon you should absolutely give it a go.

Game 4 - Over locked A History of Violence: I think this is the House of Tales game with the best reputation, and until replaying it ilI agred, but it's mostly boring and plagued with that early 00s European point and click game "grown up storytelling" aka it's just grim for no real reason.

We had an amazing time seeing Tori Amos last night 🥰

What did they do to Sophia in Infernal Machine. From serving cunt to serving Karen 😭

When your friend says they got you a surprise present for your new record player 😭🤣

Was going through the photos on my 3DS. If you know you know #yokaiwatch

Rik (RJ) @rikplaysstuff.bsky.social · 15/01/2026

Hercule Poirot - Funny enough, I bought an Agatha Christie point and click game when I was a teenager which ignited a life long love for her books, and Poirot is the boring but correct answer to who is the best fictional detective

Rik (RJ) @rikplaysstuff.bsky.social · 15/01/2026

It's a bit frustrating the only Branagh Poirot movie that could feasibly be called decent is the only one you can't buy on 4K

Scott Summers - Who doesn't love a messy bitch. He's just class, and it's great that expanded media is finally starting to understand that

The Sixth Doctor - Sixie might not have a great run of episodes on TV but he thrives in the audios where he slowly worked his way up to being my second favourite Doctor. A dick with a heart of gold is basically the best character archetype and that's him to a tee.

Rik (RJ) @rikplaysstuff.bsky.social · 13/01/2026

Lorelai Gilmore - Gilmore Girls is my number one comfort TV show and Lorelai's attitude and wit are a bit part of why

Rik (RJ) @rikplaysstuff.bsky.social · 08/01/2026

Game 3 - Simon the Sorcerer Origins: An enjoyable if rather slight revival for the British also-ran of the point and click world. It's had the edges sanded off a bit, but it's charming with lovely art. Chris Barrie also steps back into the role of Simon a lot better than I expected he would.

Rik (RJ) @rikplaysstuff.bsky.social · 07/01/2026

Game 2 - Metroid Prime 4 Beyond: I understand why it might be disappointing to some people but honestly I had a really good time playing it. It's very pretty, the frame rate is rock solid and the gameplay was really fun, if not overly challenging, tho some of the boss fights were intense enough

Game 1 - Vampire The Masquerade Bloodlines 2: I can imagine this would be a disappointment for fans of the original, but the story was enjoyable. The combat left a bit to be desired, especially in how ability cool down was managed. Worth a go but not great.

040

The Blood Island Award for Vibes: Foolish Mortals. This game really captured the same kind of feeling as my all time favourite gaming location, Blood Island from Curse of Monkey Island. The vibes were as they say, immaculate.

071

The Dominic Armato Award for Best Performance: Sally Beaumont in Old Skies absolutely stole the show in a year packed with great performances. You can tell that she was completely immersed in the character and she elevated an already fantastic story, as did the rest of the cast.

2233

The Death Stranding Award for Game of the Year of the Previous Year that I Played this Year: Dustborn. Red Thread Games put out an awesome narrative driven game in 2024 that got them so much shit from a bunch of fucking losers. Don't be put off, check it out if you're the least bit interested.

1121

The Wii U Award for Collecting Dust: For the second year running this goes to my Xbox Series X, which might as well just be a bit of decoration under my TV at this point. Completely pointless.

The Tales of Xillia Award for Best RPG party: Trails Through Daybreak 2. I just love these guys 🥰
