Waiting 30 minutes for a 2vs8 DBD killer match only to load in to the results screen because someone DC'd, and then be put straight back into another 35 minute queue? This is not itttttt.

Also a note that chatting in someone's stream who HASN'T TURNED THIS OFF means Twitch can use that data to train algorithms still. So, uh... word of mouth needs to be pretty damn effective here. Tell everyone.

Worth reiterating every time that this is not some cancel-culture purity test: JK Rowling has pledged more than a billion dollars of her Harry Potter money towards bankrolling anti-trans lawsuits. This finances that.

I suppose I'll continue to commit to videos that explicity state no AI was made, but I'm also becoming increasingly weary about people just... lying, especially now places like LinkedIn and YouTube appear to be taking a (absolutely minimal) stance against it.

Rik 👾 @rikpixel.bsky.social · 12/08/2026

Just noticed that YouTube have finally added a little AI label on videos that have GenAI in them. Good news: Can easily weed out the slop now. Bad news: There are still so many videos in the lofi reading/writing genre that are clearly AI that haven't been captured.

I waited (not very fucking long, obviously) but I saw videos of smooth frame rates and no lag in limsa with people running it from their mobile wifi and that was enough for me to take the plunge.

I had to drop Boy George a while ago. He's been following the Morrissey playbook. He's been posting AI videos for a bit, to complaints from fans, which he ignores. "I would struggle to write this with a human!" Because none of them will work with you? 🤔 🔗 for text: www.threads.com/@boygeorgeof...

I finally got back to DMing today after a year away from it due to life and work. I was shitting myself a bit, not gonna lie, I've been listening to some fantastic DMs and podcasts recently and got into my head about whether or not I'm good enough to create a worthy enough experience for people.
