Two months to go and we are on the lookout for volunteers! An event like RtN only happens because community spirited people step forward to help. Any help is always hugely appreciated. If you would like to know more/register interest please get in touch via neil@velodays.com Thanks!

Rose-tinted optimism ...cynic in me suspects that when a draw works OK for both teams in WC group games, then probability of a draw increases. A draw is OK for both 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 and 🇲🇦. Would put 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 on 4pts (effectively qualified) before 🇧🇷 Just a thought!

Do usually love the David v Goliath matches the World Cup throws up ...but have big misgivings about a match that involves the most powerful team in North America vs The disabled of South America

Very early flight next week, so booked a (brand name) Aberdeen airport hotel. £18 per person! Is it the world's cheapest airport to book a hotel at? 'Congratulations you are going to Dyce'

I've just done it! I've emailed a long lost Jambo contact to declare 'I'm with you' ...having not been at all sure I was with them! One of the misunderstood things about football (and other life contests) is you don't often decide whose side you are on - it tends to just happen!

Today (9 Apr) is 50 yrs since the death of American folkie Phil Ochs ...he was dead 15 years before I heard his music. His work remains topical! "Those treaties we signed were a pain in the neck 'Cause we're the cops of the world, boys We're the cops of the world" www.youtube.com/watch?v=fgre...

I'm not the guy for sharing too many opinions about the plight/future of North Sea Oil & Gas industry ...but will give one! I don't for a moment believe that those who feel their jobs are under threat are helped by anyone over this side of the Atlantic parroting this catchphrase

What with England opening a new coastal footpath ... It's a good time to remind Moray/Aberdeenshire/Angus that a NE Scotland long distance footpath ft spectacular castles, long beaches, nature reserve cliffs, beautiful fishing villages and famous film settings ...IS NOT A THING!! Let's do it!

I'm a big CX fan and so delighted/excited about a World Cup event in Scotland. Not complaining about another Central Belt location after Worlds & TdF ...but do have dream of Scotland's CX being on the NE dunes - perhaps when other sporting venue there is declared bankrupt after death of owner

A new electric bike hire scheme in Aberdeen is to hit the city’s streets in the Spring. An initial roll-out of 350 ebikes from established ebike hire company Voi are to be available all over the city to hire on a pay-as-you-go basis via a smartphone app. More info 👉 orlo.uk/Pfeco
