I'm 2 weeks into a 4 week "adjustment" period after getting durolane injections in both knees. Things are moving better, but I have lots of pain at the injection sites. And I know now to take a couple days off when I get those shots again in 6 months. The first week was hell!

I watched The Out of Towners for the first time last night. How have I never seen this? George (Jack Lemmon at his neurotic best) and Gwen (Sandy Dennis) fly to NY for his job interview. Despite his meticulous planning, everything that could go wrong, does. A gem from 1970.

I was supposed to get a new kind of shot in my knees today, but that didn't happen. Someone forgot to order the durolane, which isn't kept in stock. Good thing I answered the phone before I got all the way to the ortho clinic. Now back at work. 🙄

Have the day off so am doing laundry. Since my knees are on their last legs (🤣😂🤣) I got a cab through the Flywheel app. Luckily one of my regular cabdrivers was literally a block away so it only took a few minutes to get here.

Well, my hand has been aching since I smacked it on something Friday evening, so I'm getting X-rays Tuesday morning on the way to work. It bruised up pretty good but the swelling has been minimal. Hopefully there are no fractures.

Well, my 3-day weekend is off to a roaring start. While waiting for a bus home I got hit in the chin by a piece of gravel (I assume from the work over on 19th Avenue) and then smashed my hand when I got on the bush. No blood or significant damage luckily.

I turned 62 today and I'm really struggling. My Mom died on my birthday 11 years ago and some years the grief just overwhelms me. This year it's compounded by the stress of my mobility issues and trying to find an accessible apartment. I put on my facade and just exist each day.

Got my shots this morning (from the ortho sports med doc again) and we tried a different entry point. Lets just say I have a little pain from the shots. 😂 She did mention that I can try the hyaluranic gel next time if the steroids are losing effectiveness. Thoughts?

I'm finally getting shots in my knees tomorrow morning (never had them in the morning) and then have to work all day. The past few days I have barely done anything because of the pain and limited range of motion I have right now. Stairs are now my mortal enemy. 😂
