If the government was going to announce the (vital) increasing tuition fees the day before the US election, they could have at least returned them to their real 2012 levels, in addition to index linking them.

First post! Longtime co-author @gillwyness.bsky.social and myself have set out the troubles facing the UK HE sector, and 4 options for what can be done. repec-cepeo.ucl.ac.uk/cepeob/cepeo... Basically both Student and University financing should have been indexed linked in 2012 reforms.
