I got a cold call email once from a composer asking for work because 'my music was AI'. I wrote all 30/40 pieces. Some on live instruments, some composed in DAW. When I asked why they thought it could be AI they said 'it didn't have rests'. So also clueless about music. That's a hard no.

Yes but mainly because it's the first time the 'reapers' are slowly revealed. How do you follow that? Go bigger and undermine the original threat or just try and develop it in depth (like they did)? It's a quandary that TV has as well. I think also a part of that is 'the reveal'.

The church is ambient (off screen). There's a minstrel in a tree, a sentient tree monster who has some doom core guitar songs, an acoustic guitar track i recorded that a guy performs on a stage (with audience singing along). And this - which is early in the game. A goblin minstrel in a tavern.

I've approached it with comedy in mind from the planning/story stage. Situational and character based rather than puns and reference humour. Using music for that too. I've been writing comedy songs on the guitar and recording 3 part church harmony music about mutant sheep cults. Stuff like that.

I'd say the humour is maybe a tad more discworld. Lots of absurd world lore and cut scenes/ set pieces. Someone described it as south park meets monkey island but there's a lot of Simon the sorcerer energy I feel.

This plasma breathing swan was the idea of a player of the first game who won a 'treasure hunt' contest in a steam update. She is called 'Bitch Swan'. Now she has lots of wonderful plasmatic sound and animations. Not to be messed with. Nice to involve the players in #GameDev #IndieGames
