Your analogy reminds me of a flowery comic long past. I also love that Dungeon Crawler Carl has had such a strong effect on you. Now I also have to finish that series.
A single-page comic where one person is planting flowers and the other asks why he is so optimistic about the future brining flowers. Because she is planting flowers.

This might have been the last time I spoke about "Domain Rediscovery Patterns for Legacy Code". The topic is as important today, as it was when I presented it at DDD Europe 2024.

I am super excited that @devoxx.com has accepted two of my proposals. I can nerd-out about destructoring as first-class citizen in Java and how to secure a coding agent.
Two messages congratulating "Richard Gross" that his proposals have been accepted. "Secure your coding agent like it's malware" has been accepted as has "Destructoring is the future of Javas Encapsulation".

Apparently the future is that we all have LLM bots working on our behalf, to which I have two questions. The first one regards the messaging: Are you nuts?

Automation with LLMs is non-deterministic and jagged. Can that even be considered automation and is that useful? * Foto by Valentin Ivantsov at Pexels

I am very happy with my remaining schedule 2026. Next week I can share some legacy insights. The week after it's all about Kotlin and Java duking it out via split-screen live-coding. After the summer break it's legacy code again. Then my new favorite topic, the S in Ai stands for security.
Shows the remaining conference schedule 2026 of Richard Gross. It starts with "Domain Rediscovery Patterns for Legacy Code" on July 1st, then "Kotlin kontra Java" on July 9th.

Prefer no pushback, why not ask an LLM? LLMs are great when you love rhetorical questions. Ask smartly and you get back the answer you wanted.
