Ricky @ricciado-paints.bsky.social · 28/07/2025MKii baby! Time to get painting some sweet sweet Iron Warriors #warhammercommunity 030 3
Ricky @ricciado-paints.bsky.social · 25/07/2025Here’s what I’ve been working on over the last couple of months. Haven’t had a great deal of time to paint. Hoping to wrap this one up fairly soon. #warhammercommunity 0231 23
Ricky @ricciado-paints.bsky.social · 13/05/2025Here’s what I’m taking to coat of paint painting competition in just over a week time! Really looking forward to this event and catching up with people! #warhammercommunity #minipainting 2261 26

Reposted by RickyCryoCheese @cryocheese.bsky.social · 16/03/2025New update! This time I worked on the ears, the inside of one of the pauldrons, plus its rim, and, most noticably, the chest. Based on the sculpt and armor shape, I felt like shading it very 'pushed up'. #figurepainting #bust #elf #paintingskin #miniature #minipainting #arnauminiatures 0455 45
Ricky @ricciado-paints.bsky.social · 16/03/2025I need to remember to use this platform more and leave X behind. He’s a video of where I’m at with the bust. Really pushing to finish this for MPO and to as high a level as I possible can. Managed silver (standard) last year and I’d love to match it or even beat it this year. #minipainting 1151 15

Reposted by RickyCryoCheese @cryocheese.bsky.social · 06/03/2025NMM time! Before I move on to the second horse, I want to at least figure out what metals to frame the space paintings with and how to paint them. I'm going with a polished brass for some of the metal surfaces and sketched that out, this week. #nmm #modelpainting #kimera #miniature #space #horse 2628 62
Ricky @ricciado-paints.bsky.social · 06/03/2025Update on where I’m at with the bust. Had to have an elongated break away from painting but am back and aiming to get this done for this years MPO painting comp #minipainting #warhammercommunity 0193 19
Ricky @ricciado-paints.bsky.social · 17/01/2025Current WIP: picked up one of this years anniversary models and made a start. I’m planning on making this in to a duel of sorts, more to come #warhammercommunity #warhammer #minipainting 0102 10
Ricky @ricciado-paints.bsky.social · 27/12/2024Results were a few days ago, but I managed to pick up bronze in both standard single figure and the one-off rust in peace category at MPO online competition. The aim was silver so a little disappointed but an improvement on last year #minipainting #warhammercommunity 1423 42
Ricky @ricciado-paints.bsky.social · 09/12/2024I’m still plugging away at this bust. I’m reworking a lot of the gold based on some feedback and I think that it’s looking a lot more believable. This was only going to be a practice piece, but I think that I now want to do it for competition #minipainting #worldofwarcraft #mtg #warhammer 3313 31
Reposted by RickyDungeons and Dry-Gins @dungeonsanddrygins.bsky.social · 09/12/2024I'm on shared parental leave at the moment so no hobby for me, but I managed to snap a pic of this recently finished(?) natural sprinter. 410811 108
Ricky @ricciado-paints.bsky.social · 06/12/20244.5 years of progress. First mini on the left, latest finished mini on the right. Some big breaks along the way. I just wish I found display painting sooner and didn’t waste so much time 🫠 Quote repost yours #warhammercomminity #minipainting 1204 20
Ricky @ricciado-paints.bsky.social · 03/12/2024This is what’s currently on the painting table, a gift for a friend. Trying to push the cast shadows and environmental lighting again. Trust in the power of the greys #minipainting #dungeonsanddragons #dnd #warhammer 3273 27
Ricky @ricciado-paints.bsky.social · 30/11/2024Here’s a quick second entry in to MPO Online in the rust category. Had some fun playing around with oil paints, dry pigments and small resin effects. I think it’s quite cute for 5 hours total time. #minipainting #warhammercommunity 0323 32
Ricky @ricciado-paints.bsky.social · 29/11/2024I’ve entered my Halgrim in to Cult of Paints MPO online comp. I got nothing last year, fingers crossed for this year 🥲 #warhammercommunity #minipainting 1382 38

Ricky @ricciado-paints.bsky.social · 17/11/2024Finally got to use my Kimera base set and went straight for the blues. I think having the blue really makes the gold pop #warhammercommunity #minipainting 1271 27
Ricky @ricciado-paints.bsky.social · 17/11/2024Super shocked and happy to have been awarded gold in Journeyman category! Have a look and gawp at the other winners here! (And follow Rebecca) 150 5
Ricky @ricciado-paints.bsky.social · 17/11/2024I really want to go back to my Dark Angels squad which I did for this years MPO. I ran out of time so had to abandon two of the squad members and make a real last minute base. There’s a deathwing knight and a company champion left to paint 🥲 #warhammercommunity 0575 57
Ricky @ricciado-paints.bsky.social · 16/11/2024Before I started to focus in on display painting I was focussed on getting a 2000pt Dark Angels army and here are a few select units. I particularly love my Talonmsster RIP #warhammercommunity #minipainting 2213 21
