Did you know that if you request information on funeral planning/cemetery costs you might find yourself on an email list and then be notified when local funeral homes/cemeteries are having a sale?? NEITHER DID I.

In light of the fuckery of the past two weeks I texted my therapist a bullet pointed topic list along with accompanying screenshots in preparation for our session tomorrow. So she knows exactly what about to talk into. Related: I’m sure she talks to HER therapist about me. I just know it!

Only Jameis could have simultaneously led the league in passing touchdowns and interceptions in the same season. 😂 Such a Jameis thing.

Help me raise some money for my kids’ elementary school! Buy one of these large DRAW pins and 100% of the proceeds will be donated to their arts magnet school! Do it for the kids! www.harebraineddesign.com/collections/...

Black enamel pin with red type that says “DRAW” and white lettering underneath that says “To keep kids off generative AI” in the style of DARE program tees.

Update: with your help, I've sent the organizer the 1st shipment of food. He was able to get food and shampoo/toothbrush supplies to ten families. We've helped 52 people! Working on a second shipment for the next group of families. Anyone who wants to chip in to keep a family fed, please do ❤️

I wish there was a way to measure/express just how much D.A.R.E. affected us. As soon as folks start even talking about drugs I’m gone. D.A.R.E. Had my best friend in such a chokehold that when she nine year old, wrote the PRESIDENT about drug use in America.

And I say this as someone who grew up country fr. I’m talking red clay, no indoor plumbing, we slaughter pigs in the backyard and got skinned coons/deer in the sink country. Smack dab in a southern city.

Rica @ricadoesit.bsky.social · 15/09/2026

Agreed. I also feel like this applies to country vs rural. Just because something/someone is country doesn’t make it rural and vice verse. And there can be some overlaps but they are not the same at all.

My best friend called me and told me the lady who invented the hand grenade. Me: I had no idea a woman was behind them! But that sounds about right. Rage will make you think up some shit. Her: Ma’am I’m talking about the drink.

One of the pitfalls (if you want to call it that) of healing (hate that word) is that when bad things happen, you can no longer ignore it/push thru it. In the past, I would acknowledge the feeling, and keep it moving. Because life. My baby sister died unexpectedly Monday. She was only 35. 💔

If your kids need real sex ed and the schools won’t provide it, your local UU church likely has the OWL program. It’s usually run very explicitly as a community service, not just an internal church thing, and the facilitators have to go through training.

You can look up teaching certificates of public school educators in every state. So if, for example, a former scamming chef started posting teacher content, you can see if he has the credentials to even open his dusty bearded face-hole when he speaks on it.
