According to a person with knowledge of the matter, the discrepancy arose from attempts by OpenAI’s own investors to produce a direct comparison with Anthropic’s annualised revenues. The pair calculate the figure in different ways, with Anthropic including the revenue from sales via cloud partners such as AWS and Google Cloud, while OpenAI does not.

So if you played dungeons 1 way after release, even just the base game, is much more solid due to these updates. Im hoping for the same in dungeons 2. But the fact I have to wait again is a bummer! Still had fun with it though, but its why I suggest just buying the base game if you wanna play.

Dungeons 1 DLC mostly adds just new areas & gear but the updates that coincided with those dlcs added the tower (randomized floors mission), dailies, merchants, ancient hunts, illager captains that show up with randomized mission challenges when killed, and "apocalypse+" difficulty.

For those wondering what's wrong with it? Mostly boils down to: Outside of bugs & QoL stuff it is much closer to how simple dungeons 1 started. There are more things like easier to enchant things, merchants, & re-rolls which is more than D1 Day 1 But D2 has far less end game than D1 + DLC/patches

For those on the fence: unless youre confident to ride it out like I will be Buy the $30 version. The $50 one is just pre-ordering dlc that will come later. If you have fun you can always upgrade or wait till dlc comes out to see if throwing down the money for it is worth it!

I like minecraft dungeons 2 I dislike that once again another spin off is rough at launch I have faith it'll get better, much like dungeons 1 did, but legends being dropped so fast dampened that faith from confident to hopeful Im still here for it though cause I want whimsy in my arpgs!

I did like the original set of movies before the new season or whatever its called but it kinda lost me once the Disney + stuff started really kicking in and having TV shows & too many movies matter Honestly same reason I stopped with star wars beyond the new trilogy. Too many things at once...

Apparently the CEO of Hoyo has stated that in the next couple years HoYoverse will “play one of the most pivotal roles in China’s LLM-AI” I straight up don’t know any other game developer making this much of a spectacle out of its AI use. I understand the cultural difference. It’s still alarming.
