Welp…it finally happened, I had to talk with some of my ESL students about slurs 😕 Some students in class today were using the n-word. Hard-r so not like from a rap song to be cool. So I was direct that I do not accept that word in my class, nor does the school, & they shouldn’t use the word at all

Hoping to beat FF7 part 2 this weekend. God this game is long af, I’m on chapter 13/14, 120 hours in for part 2 and 60 hours in for part 1. It’s fun, but getting a bit long in the tooth now, especially when the entirety of OG FF7 was about 40-50 hours, maybe 60 max.

It’s interesting to play the remake of a game where the original game didn’t have any voice acting. You only read the names in the OG & devised pronunciations from that. So, it can be a bit jarring when the names are said aloud in the remake & they’re different to what you imagined. #gaming

Beat Chrono Cross. I’d say it was a 6.5/10 PRO: Fun characters, beautiful aesthetic, interesting gameplay CON: Confusing convoluted story, badly explained game mechanics, inconsistent character development I liked it, but is it the sequel I’d make for Chrono Trigger? No, I don’t think so #gaming

Bf went on a scooter and crashed himself into a tree and did something to his collarbone 😵‍💫 So I’m playing assistant while we’re in the urgent care. Thankfully, the wait time of 3:30 hours has only been an 1 hour or so, & he’s already going into X-ray, so hopefully it won’t be an all-night fiasco 🙏🏾

I hate how a lot of places just don’t do public restrooms anymore Used to be just restaurants or small stores, and they’d say “paying customers only”, which I’m fine buying a little something to get that service But now, it seems like everywhere just doesn’t do bathrooms AT ALL - customer or not 🙄

So annoyed 😡 My city councillors voted to end our free-fare zone come August. It’s a huge plus for citizens & visitors to my city. Essentially, all of the downtown stops on the train are free - it’s about 6 stops from the library at one end to my apartment at the other end. ->

Finally beat Legend Of Legaia. My best friend liked it when it came out, but I hadn’t played it. The story is a bit interesting & the combo creation in battle is cool. But, the story is also convoluted, battles take forever, & the characters are rather one-sided. Still, it was fun. 6/10 #gaming

Beat Skies of Arcadia for the 1st time. •Pros: The characters are excellent, I liked almost everyone. The story is good, the world is cool, & the pacing of story & events is nearly perfect. •Cons: Battles are slow, especially airship battles, & the encounter rate is a bit high. 8/10 😊 #gaming

I hate making negative posts. Originally, I was sad that 8/12 of my students were leaving this week to go to a different class, but now I’m actually pissed at them. 2-3 weeks ago, I was rated ~95% as a teacher, we did a survey again this week with the same students and it plummeted to 82.8%. ->
