Watched Hope, amazingly directed "monster" movie that warns of the dangers of a massively paranoid & scared population having access to lots of guns. Amazing production design, shot so creatively and filled with suspense & anxiety, stellar filmmaking on all sides that fumbles the ending somewhat.

Screw marketable, I want creative.

Dude just fired the executives responsible for Sinners and One Battle After Another btw.

Last chance to actually address my post in a reply or you get blocked.

I am aware, now address my post when you use the reply button or go away.

I don't plan to keep explaining this to people so I think I will just repost an old thread and let you read my already writen out explination: bsky.app/profile/rhys... There you go

yes, the enthusiasts are typically the minority...and yes, the most vocal are always the ones who are most critical...that is why they are vocal. I am not debating either of these things. That was kind of the point I was making. They are attempting to protect their hobby from enshitification.

110

i think when people talk about it, they ignore the pretty good 3 part special before it, wild blue yonder is an all timer episode imo.

000

Genuinely was not aware Jacob Gellar did that...or was even capable of doing that until now, makes me kinda not want to watch his stuff anymore. Hope the person whos life he most likely made much worse is doing better now.

000

this is going to age like milk.

Blusky decided my image wont post so ill just quote post it here: bsky.app/profile/cybo...

050

right here btw before you try and say otherwise, they outright said they would rather wait...and you respond saying you outright do not understand the mindset...but now suddenly youre saying it is what people should do...almost like you do in fact understand, you just choose to be difficult.

"wait for one or do it yourself" THAT IS LITERALLY...WHAT THEY ARE DOING...THEY SAW THE AI DECOMP...SAID "NO, ILL WAIT FOR HUMANS TO DO IT" AND YOU COMPLAINED.

160

because those are the enthusiasts who actually care about the future of the hobby, the average person buying an expensive piece of hardware for a new gta are not going to spend any more money on it after that.

Strangely looks a lot like Calisto protocol. Hope its combat is more engaging.

Every single DAY he does SOMETHING...only American politician that actually feels like they do the work they're paid for, props to him.

"you could just ignore the most talked about and anticipated media release of all time" come on dude please be reasonable.

not buying future products and ending my subscription of ps plus in January of this year does not mean i am getting rid of my only UHD blu-ray player.

in all fairness, every other disney live action remake has made an insane amount of money, some of them more than the original animated movies themselves. So unfortunately, them being 1 to 1 remakes of the originals isnt evidence of them being failures...as frustrating as that is obviously.

Discovered web extension that adds a block channel button on YouTube. The great grifter purge begins.

000

actually nuts that this A: Contains two game franchises that have not had a release for 3 and 4 generations respectively and B: Has ape escape but no dualshock controller, a game that required said controller.

050

looked into it, he apparently use AI for 30 seconds or so in a sequence in his new film "INK" coming out next year, thats a shame, wanted to watch that, not anymore.

000

Would genuinely be the biggest fumble ever if producers dont fund this and get it made. The last two movies were genuinely fantastic.

just imagine how many more global sensations netflix could produce if they bothered to release more movies theatrically

021

...this feels like it defeats the entire point of Ted as a show/movie...him being a hyper realistic talking bear that acted like a regular guy...IN THE REAL WORLD was what made it interesting.

in all fairness, i assumed the movie was literally a parody of old, decrepit oil barons who absolutely refuse to change their ways and just get with the times and stop destroying the planet...at least from the trailers...even the cat in the trailers seems like its trying to be a metaphor for it.

If anyone reading this claims to be "done with" or "stopped caring" about star wars and still feels an emotion reading this news, then you that means you are not done and still care.

000

My friend specifically was a little frustrated that none of the games monsters were in it, he felt many of the scenes you could just replace things with monsters from the game and the narrative would be quite the same, i disagreed with him a little.

100

his point was that wasnt "like a year ago" it was in fact last decade before the pandemic.

030

pretty sure those are stunt prop guns from a promo image made of semi soft material because in this scene they throw them and also hit people with them and this whole scene is like a cgi environment.

120

getting real tired of tech ceos fucking over artists and then smiling whilst saying "this is all great" genuine parasites that will never understand what real connection or the human experience is and will never take the time to experience art to find out.

020

You could literally say "Asmongold was banned from x game" and it would make me more likely to play the game.

0210

Watched Coraline, good film, very pretty art direction.

000

PC Specs for this are now officially out of my range and I cant afford to upgrade...thanks gen AI, I continue to hate you more every day.

000

again, i am calm, you are just assuming otherwise because youve decided im against you.

100

...i...know...i also watched the movie...and at no point did i suggest the director of the movie didnt know how to direct a movie...please dont do that internet thing where you just pretend im your enemy when we have never met, its weird.

000

I am on the 9th mainline RE game and a protege of one of the main umbrella scientists that worked on the t-virus decided to take LEON S KENNEDY hostage by tying him to a single chair without searching him for blades. they are STILL bumbling idiots.

just look at the waves of hand drawn anime movies that keep coming out and making 10 times their budget. people love 2d animation, it is just that hollywood arnt the kings of it anymore.

020

"nobody stays good in this world" man next to "if theirs even a 1% chance he is a threat we should kill him" man stood next to eachother are like the same person, its boring. But "Kindness is punkrock" and "I am vengeance"...now thats a combo.

150

ok but like...just do it though...the difference in the two version is precisely the kind of contrast that makes them work so well on screen, the problem we have had in the past is that they are so rigidly similar in presentation that when put together its boring, THIS WOULDNT BE.
