I'm privileged because my parents are supportive monetarily, but they are quite aloof and detached emotionally...at least from my perspective🫠😅 I also think I have a good friedly mask🤔 I generally like people, but sometimes I just want to be alone and will put on a superficially friendly face...

I modelled them in Blender based on traffic cone pictures, 3D printed them and embedded nyloc nuts inside when they are printed partially. They are not the primary fasteners to hold the plate in place.

As a furry elder (I'm 36 yo, which is old in some furry communities🤣), I too sometimes feel a bit alienated and alone🧍‍♀️ Plus I'm not good with making friends, I can count my friends with ONE hand🫠 PS: I'm alone most of the time, but I don't feel lonely often? I'm very good at being my own company😅

Thanks! Yeah it feels so weird to have a bag full of (fake) DRAM chips, which I certainly cannot afford IRL! PS: My PC has 48GB of RAM, that's only achievable because my PC is so old and I can only buy cheap second hand RAM sticks🤣 (started as 8+8, then bought 16+16)

LOL (I'm going to a furry con, and I'm printing these RAM sticks to give out as gifts to protogen fursuiters. They like to eat RAM sticks lol)

I found this "Don't slow down outer walls" option that can't override what's limiting the outer wall speed. Once it's turned on, the outer wall speed is consistently at the maximum 200 mm/s, which results in pretty smooth walls.

I noticed when the model is printed in PLA, the outer wall is consistently at the max 200 mm/s; when it's printed in PETG, the outer wall varies in speed. My PLA and PETG have very similar settings, and I don't know what's limiting the outer wall speed.

I printed the Vertical Fine Artifacts test print, and it looks like the VFA is less at certain speed and print orientation. I also printed the Max Volumetric Speed test print, it turns out my MVS can be set at 18 instead of 12.

I literally changed ONE setting and the print came out much nicer looking! (This is a very shiny filament, it feels much smoother to the touch IRL)

Fun fact: Cheap wooden furnitures like this usually use a glue similar to Gorilla glue. The glue is kind of brittle and often cracks overtime. I actually took the whole chair apart and reglue everything, much sturdier this way💪

I modified the chair on the left by flipping the horizontal rungs upside down, so I can use a flat sheet of plywood as the seat. (The chair is in a place where my brother's cats frequent, and he worries his cats might have their feet caught between the seat splats. It's a real thing, he's a vet)

These two cartoonishly large RAM sticks look very different, why?🤔 Current theory: The yellow is PLA, the green is PETG. They have different print speeds, and the PETG just happened to be printed at the speed that's the resonate frequency of the printer?

I can't think of a reason why would you need a tiny stylus, that's basically just the tip? and it can be stored in the headphone jack? With a stylus that short, why not just use your fingers? MAYBE you don't want you finger oil on the phone screen?🤔

I'm attempting to make fursuit claws with touchscreen capability. Step 1: Buying some cheap stylus. If I understand correctly, a touchscreen works by sensing capacitance change caused by our fingers. These stylus use conductive shaft and rubber tip to "lengthen" our fingers.

I really love the scene with red dress. I'm pretty sure it's altered with VFX, but having Nikki's completely in the dark, with just a teeny bit of glint in her eyes is such of good choice. Also Bear is such an asshole, he sees Nikki like this, and he's like: yep nothing wrong, let's date.

I've always proud myself being pretty sensitive with colors, but I was seriously doubting myself yesterday🤣 Because the mint blue I used to print the mouth (what you see in the photo), and the mint blue roll I currently have on hand is very close...but different😭

I'll go with mint blue because it matches my ref sheet the best. I'm realizing it's very tricky to find the same color across 3D print filament, faux fur, minky fabric, digital art pieces, and printed art🤡 It's best to be not too picky about it, I'm happy as long as they are in the same ballpark!

Now, if only they also sell the shells for the drill/driver itself...🤤Would be cool to make the whole set in custom colorway by dyeing the transparent shells purple! PS: I thought shells like this are usually glass fiber reinforced nylon? They can be transparent?😱

I'm only documenting this for my own sake, the colors are (left to right): 寶石綠 (Gem Green), 薄荷藍 (Mint Blue), and Right: 粉藍 (Pastel Blue) The filaments are from the same filament dealer I usually buy from. I really have to document this, becasuse the product photo does not match the actual color.

I just realized I use different colors for the palate and tongue of all my fursuit head prototypes...and I still haven't make up my mind😅

This is the reason why I printed my own handle, the original handle just sounds SO BAD it affects my mood and concentration when I use it.

The shape is indeed quite comfortable to hold. It reminds me of these pens: Kaweco K's pen in Blade Runner 2049 (2017), which is a slightly modified Koh-i-Noor 5344!

Designed and printed a simple handle and cap for this tapered reamer I bought a while ago. The octagonal profile is inspired by the "London pattern handle", a handle shape common in some handtools.
