This. Giving the franchise publicity via fanart keeps it relevant -> the hag earns money -> the hag uses the money to harm real people. Let it fade into obscurity where it belongs

We have a quick question for intersex folks (both trans and cis-identifying)! We're including a collage of flags in the interior cover for our trans joy zine, and are wondering if the intersex flag should be included or not. (If you're not intersex, please share)

As a new Harry Potter trailer makes the rounds, it bears repeating that there’s no way to watch this show without supporting J.K. Rowling’s bigotry and the structural violence she’s inflicting on the trans community.

theverge.com

There is no ethical consumption of HBO’s Harry Potter series

You can’t without supporting Rowling’s transphobic bigotry.

Some cis people will literally leave their jobs over Joanne's bigotry, and others are mad they're being told not to watch a TV show. Who our allies are is very obvious to us, and we remember who they are.

This shit is why you can't separate continuing to financially support the Harry Potter IP (whether by buying the games, merch, watching the new TV show when its out) from the consequences of what JK Rowling does with that money She's become so stiflingly powerful that even private docs arent safe

The sweater is based on a vest from Pokemon ZA. Of course I couldn't do something easy for my first sweater so I had to come up with my own color work design.

A color work up of my design- mostly tan, brown, green, and a greenish blue. Geometric shapes and a Gogoat.

A screenshot of a sweater vest from Pokemon ZA with some adorable Gogoats.

A rough mock up or a knitting chart for the design.

Just wanted to give an update: I'm still alive and active. I've been busy with non-drawing stuff lately but hope to get back to it soon. I've mostly been doing yardwork, knitting a sweater (first ever!), and switching my laptop over to Linux (it's been a steep learning curve). Wish me luck!

An in-progress photo of a knit sweater. The sweater is brown, tan, and green with geometric shapes.

A photo of my bearded dragon Taliesin lounging in his custom pool (a large plant drain tray and a little solar fountain).

A young pomegranate tree, butterfly bush, and hibiscus. Very excited about these.

A photo of some landscaping I've done. Hope these plants live.

A digital drawing in the art style of Hades of my WoL Q'Talo Tia- a male miqo'te paladin. There is a text box with his name and title (warrior of light) and beneath that "It's not the size of the guy in the fight that counts, but the size of the sword in the guy that loses... Or... I don't normally assign legendaries to my OC's, but Terrakion fits Q'Talo so perfectly. He's extremely protective of others and takes pride in fighting for and defending people in need. His tactics can be a bit... reckless, but his heart is in the right place. #ffxiv #wolqotd #pokemon #terrakion

I've never seen snow like this before. It's been like this all day. This may be the first time I've heard "you can expect 8 inches" and 1) actually got 8 inches, and 2) was disappointed about that. Taliesin and I are not fans of the cold.

We southerners are a special kind of folk. This was posted at 12pm. That's right, two inches of snow... We're expected to get 6-8.

A roadway alert from Greenville Police department warning people to stay off the roads. "Officers have responded to eight wrecks since 11 am Saturday. Two inches of snow has accumulated and continues to fall fast. Temperatures are dropping. GCFD is adding chains to its trucks because THEY are sliding. Disabled vehicles are blocking roadways preventing city crews from being able to plow. PLEASE STAY HOME."

I was listening to the podcast @lingthusiasm.com and was suddenly struck by inspiration that I HAD to get out IMMEDIATELY. So without further ado, may I present....... Cardinal Vowels

Cartoonish drawings of silly cardinals sitting on the vowels a, e, i, o, and u. Their shapes mimic diagrams of vowel tongue positions.

The referenced diagram can be found on Wikipedia- source: Jones, Daniel. (1972) An outline of English phonetics (9th ed.).
