For You "Elon Saved Free Speech" White Knight Assholes: Read the New Terms of Service
Released Today

X just updated their Terms of Service effective January 15, 2026.

Here's what you agreed to:

AI TRAINING RIGHTS GRAB: Everything you post becomes training data for their Al models. Every thought, opinion, creative work. You're building their models for free. No compensation. No opt out.

PERPETUAL CONTENT LICENSE: They get a worldwide, royalty-free license to use, copy, modify, and distribute your content "for any purpose" in "any media now known or later developed." Forever. They can sell it. Give it to governments. Anything.

FORCED JURISDICTION: All disputes must be filed in Tarrant County, Texas. You waive the right to join class actions. If they wrong millions of users, you sue alone in THEIR court.

ARBITRARY TERMINATION: They can delete your account "for any other reason or no reason at our convenience." Years of content, connections, reputation. Gone. Zero due process.

$15,000 LIQUIDATED DAMAGES: Access more than 1 million posts in 24 hours and you owe $15,000. Per million. Journalists and researchers investigating the platform face financial ruin.

GOVERNMENT DISCLOSURE: They reserve the right to hand your DMs, drafts, and entire history to governments based on what they
"reasonably believe" is necessary.

ANTI-JAILBREAK CLAUSE: Testing their Al systems, exposing censorship mechanisms, or security research is now explicitly a Terms violation. They added "prompt engineering or injection" to prohibited conduct.

I get things are more expensive right now... But charging $50 more for the #FFXIV Fan Fest ticket this time around considering what you "got" for the cost last time around is... a choice. Goody bag items are likely still in the works, but they need to release more details before purchase is open.

After a lot of work on it over the past five months, my #FFXIVART #animation short is ready to share! It's by far the biggest personal project I've ever done, and I learned so much doing it. I hope you all enjoy "WALL TO WALL!" youtu.be/9UWuxjtWPUM

Okay so major update on this case: The Affirm loan I took out to try to take care of the second half of May's rent isn't working. It accepted the card but now its failing and won't say why. Flex needs $760 for the remainder of May, else it will not help pay June at all. Please. Anyone.

So my partner just had the rug pulled out from under her, and her job that she has been doing well with for the past week or so is gone. I might have an interview late this week... But all this is to say, we still desperately need help. ko-fi.com/seedypublish... I'm sorry again to ask..

Democrats in Congress—we asked for fight and you come up with childish signs. You all should have walked out in solidarity with Al Green and the American people tonight. This is not the business!

Friendly reminder for Dawntrail tomorrow: please only login if you're actually doing stuff. This happened before with expansion launches that some people just login and afk dance in Limsa or something. No I don't pay your sub but you don't pay anyone else's. #ffxiv #Dawntrail

Hey folks, if you have trouble seeing videos or gifs on Bluesky, that's because the settings for it are automatically turned off. Go into your settings and go to "external media"
