R🍁 @rgarde.bsky.social · 1hI find Mondays a sort of 're-entry' day. It used to be my fitness day too and never had energy to make dinner after so ordered in. The fitness is gone but I still feel off kilter Mondays. 000
R🍁 @rgarde.bsky.social · 1hSon phoned to say he & his gf would be coming to carve pumpkins. I hadn't cleaned for a while. He gave me 30 min notice so I put on the roombas, got the table changed over, used a swiffer, put this & that away...was sweating, went to dress but collapsed on the bed. #ME 000
R🍁 @rgarde.bsky.social · 12hLast yr in my study it seemed quick up and down changes were the culprit over a certain number. I did arrive at a number that I decided felt good for me but memory is not good and looking back to find it a pain. LOL. Let us know if you find an ideal number for yourself. 010
R🍁 @rgarde.bsky.social · 12hthe only live you're really living is this one NOW. I say don't worry, do what you need to, to feel better today. 010
R🍁 @rgarde.bsky.social · 12/10/2026There is an "ability garden" at Riverside Park, Guelph, ON. Someone asked what it was for. I'm sure it's used for many differrent purposes, but I said, "say someone can't walk far (me), it is a nice short walk around the gardens after parking or being dropped off. Or maybe, they ride a scooter." 021
R🍁 @rgarde.bsky.social · 12/10/2026We had a lovely family day at Guelph's Riverside Park even though it was raining. I paced the week before, planned for doable walking today. Will see how I am in 24 hrs, but I think I did well. #ME 010
R🍁 @rgarde.bsky.social · 12/10/2026Hmmm, I spent a lot of time last winter watching pressure changes and navigating headaches. I hope it is not the same this winter. I am on stronger medication now. 110
R🍁 @rgarde.bsky.social · 11/10/2026Saves spoons for today. Canadian Thanksgiving with my family. It is raining, but we are doing an outdoor outing anyhow. Making memories is what it is about. #ME 000
R🍁 @rgarde.bsky.social · 11/10/2026Been weighing that myself. The pro of having a person to meet with regularly over using online AI as my counsellor, versus getting to an appointment and exhausting myself doing so. 020
R🍁 @rgarde.bsky.social · 11/10/2026still stand up to get something off a shelf. He was right. Being in that scooter had given me an invalid feeling; pointing at items and having him fetch them. Funny how that happened. I'm happy I am not a complete invalid at the moment! Yes, even having stacked spoons, I could still walk 10 paces. 010
R🍁 @rgarde.bsky.social · 11/10/2026a husband being told in the past about my issues with shopping but him not really 'hearing' me. He seemed he would feel embarrassed by me using the scooter. But he gave in. He helped retrieve the key for it. I followed him around and it was very easy for me. And then he reminded me I could 110
R🍁 @rgarde.bsky.social · 11/10/2026especially if I've done other things first. I showered and did my hair!" He said, "Maybe we should go on a day you don't shower." I said, "But then I'll feel and look like a grub." I also said, "Why do you think I let you do the grocery shopping so much?" Ladies, and gentlemen, this is a case of ... 110
R🍁 @rgarde.bsky.social · 11/10/2026Husband invited me to grocery shop together. I'd done a morning of scrolling, I'd showered and washed and dried my hair. The stack was already high. I advised him, that if I go, I will be trying the mobility shopping cart. He laughed. I told him, "I get exhausted walking the full grocery store... 110
R🍁 @rgarde.bsky.social · 11/10/2026Angry, screaming, yelling, stomping, feeling resentful...I have learned those feelings/moods are fatigue speaking. By that time, I was past my energy envelope! I get it now. And I use roombas now. 050
R🍁 @rgarde.bsky.social · 11/10/2026After years of living with #ME/CFS & not knowing it, I understand so much more now. For instance, I would start sorting or cleaning & have to quit, leaving a mess. Or, I'd garden, & not have energy to pick up the weeds I'd pulled. When vacuuming, without a doubt, the session would end with me .../2 161
R🍁 @rgarde.bsky.social · 11/10/2026Reading old journals, I feel like that too. Lots of notations about fatigue and self-blame to go with it. I am more understanding now at least. 010
R🍁 @rgarde.bsky.social · 11/10/2026My #ME is mild but I can too easily 'stack'. That goes for many of us. I find online scrolling fatiguing. I must curb it! And I play online word games. Those are likely fatiguing too. Then, by the time I go to do my activity for the day, I might return to bed instead! #complicated. 000
R🍁 @rgarde.bsky.social · 11/10/2026I walked away from FB ME groups and deactivated this account for a time. I was too immersed. Mine is mild. I can still do stuff. So, I wanted to act like I did not have #ME. Act normal. But found that doesn't work. Cervicogenic head pain returned as did fatigue. So here I am again. 000
R🍁 @rgarde.bsky.social · 11/10/2026Lower your expectations. I have an art table in my TV room. Often, I do what I call doodle art that takes a lot less concentration than perhaps painting. Or collages using stickers or magazine photos that reflect a mood. Dots are easy. Perhaps you are more severe though and for that I have empathy. 000
R🍁 @rgarde.bsky.social · 26/09/2026People with #ME/CFS who are still functional. Please give me a list of ideas of small outings for a change of scenery. Next, give me a list of ways I can create a social circle. I feel like I have no friends these days. 120

R🍁 @rgarde.bsky.social · 25/09/2026I didn't bother trying to explain my PEM crash would possibly come the next day and day after that. 110
R🍁 @rgarde.bsky.social · 25/09/2026Real story: Invitations for an event. I explained I could not RSVP at the moment as my #ME is unpredictable. That some days I'm so fatigued...Was able to go to event & at the end, sibling said, "You don't look fatigued." I said, "I will crash after this." She said, "So will I, it's just aging." 110
R🍁 @rgarde.bsky.social · 25/09/2026Just saying, many women go through near-death blood loss. My daughter did, also in Guelph. I passed a large blood clot too and was told it was normal. I had an infection after 2nd child caused a lot of pain. How can he sue for such when the rest of us simply did our best and moved on? 000

R🍁 @rgarde.bsky.social · 25/09/2026Retired, but have ME/CFS so my ministry/work is taking care of my home, property, and being a lighthouse online. I try to use my gifts in all these ways. Wish I wasn't so out of energy now that I feel I have so much extra time. 000
R🍁 @rgarde.bsky.social · 25/09/2026Maybe she can hold preschool programs that are only a few hours since she has the space. 000
R🍁 @rgarde.bsky.social · 25/09/2026The verse on my mind as I worked on this path the last few years. Trying to minimize the need to mow a slope there or to have to walk down it and up again to get to Vege-Villa, our backyard garden area. 😆 #PEM is the bill I'm paying #ME (mild/moderate). 011
R🍁 @rgarde.bsky.social · 24/09/2026Speculating quality of life may be different from those used to working from home or introverts who are more used to isolation. (like myself who worked from home for years). Yes, I needed people contact, but not as much as others might. Just a thought. 000
R🍁 @rgarde.bsky.social · 24/09/2026I must take a photo of the garden path I created over the last 2 yrs. I spread brown mulch over it today, & trimmed around it. Yes, fatigue was immediate. My nap did not restore much. I am so tired of being tired and feeling my energy envelope may be getting smaller!! But I will enjoy my new path. 0132
R🍁 @rgarde.bsky.social · 23/09/2026I would like a better state-of-the-art community centre in North Cambridge (forget the Ted Wake Centre): indoor walking track, pleasant gathering spaces, programs for older adults, fitness area, outdoor trails/gardens connected to it. The walking tracks are important in winter. 000
R🍁 @rgarde.bsky.social · 23/09/2026Thought today about what my vision for #CambridgeON would be. Simply: a place where people can have a good everyday life close to home.” Parks, trails, community facilities, attractive neighbourhoods, useful services and gathering places—not everything concentrated in downtowns. 110

R🍁 @rgarde.bsky.social · 23/09/2026Fav part of my day is watching a show with my husband while I also work on my art in the same room. We just finished. Neagley. Very twisted for sure. 000
