The Howard Park Loop had washrooms for TTC operators but not the public. We should change that.

Ossington between Dundas and Queen really should be a pedestrian and transit mall. #urbanism #TOpoli

Sometimes technology is amazing. I'm out of town, with a courier that needs a paper release if you aren't there to sign. VPN to home gateway, send form to printer, family tapes it to the door. Problem solved.

Many downed limbs on silver maples on Shaw St. If urban forestry hadn’t taken down some of the trees earlier, damage would be much worse

@sundogplanets I would lean towards a non-federating, videos private by default Peertube instance. @fedihost is Canadian owned and hosted (run in part by @paige ) for a fully managed host.

Thankfully, replacing the drive belt solved the problem. Vacuumed so much sand and lint out of the interior, hoping it will dry clothes faster now! #RightToRepair

On my way to North York to get a replacement part for my dryer. Opening the case revealed a shredded drive belt. It’s a 13 year old model, so not bad. I appreciate that I only needed to use one bit to disassemble it so far. Main board has a Samsung logo on it 🤔 #RightToRepair

Canadian Banks make it Kafkaesque to actually sign up with them. Decided to try a new credit card but didn't have any services with the issuing bank. Credit Card application was simple and approved right away, cards were mailed in the time frame indicated. Just need to set the PIN, easy right? […]

Heartbeat hot sauce’s dill pickle Serrano sauce is the closest I’ve found to the mild yellow bird Serrano sauce that is available locally. More tang than heat, delicious.

"Housing delayed is housing denied" isn't just a saying. There are carrying costs associated with delays. Non-profits don't have a lot of room in their budgets. So affordable units get reduced. If we're asking for more consultation, let's tell the public the price tag. In this case, $9 million.
“That building cost us $9 million more than it would have originally, because it took so long to get a development permit,” says Greenwood-Lee. “What that meant was we had less deeply affordable units.”

At some point we’re gonna have to acknowledge that our version to increasing the height of buildings and our permission of living spaces below grade are directly connected to flooding making insurance costs higher

Community land trusts are to housing what food banks are to hunger. They partially address an acute local shortage but do little to change the larger systems that create the scarcity in the first place and let politicians off the hook. #TOpoli #ONPoli #CDNPoli

@amanjeev Not cycling specifically but Transit App does include cycling options and bike routes. If you are using bike share, it routes you from docks with bikes to docks with space and walking directions on either end.
