My 9th grader and my 6th grader both say I’m wrong, and I need to use a table to get to the answer which is 240. That does not seem efficient or even the correct answer.

I thought you need to divide 2400 by 2.5 to find out how many pennies are in 2400 grams. 2400/2.5=960 or $9.60

Doing my first “normal” wedding since 2019. Do I remember how to run a rehearsal? (Normal meaning indoors, with friends and families present. I did a few pandemic weddings where it was outside and just the couple. And I did one just the couple wedding in my new (2023-now) church.)

It does not feel like a coincidence that, much like Mr. Rogers, Dolly Parton, also a Christian, sent notes with her books saying how proud she was of kids. She tried to reaffirm the idea that children were fearfully and wonderfully made in the image of Christ and therefore are worthy.

I currently pay about $35k for health insurance (split between employer and employee pay) for our family of 4. I’d GLADLY pay more in taxes for single payer insurance - I’ll save money and so will you. Plus more people will get care, saving lives

Major pet peeves at the beach 1. People who eat peanuts in the shells and leave the shells. Eww gross. 2. People who come to the beach and play loud music. I came to the beach to listen to the waves, not your music. 3. People who litter, especially water bottle caps.

My hot take: The platform of today’s Democratic Socialist is the same as the mainstream Republican Party of the 1940’s and 1950’s The bar for what is considered “moderate” has moved so far to the right, that anything that’s good for society as a whole is considered leftist/socialism
