I've designed a wireless multi-axis CNC control pendant but I haven't yet found any practical applications for it. Shaking drinks or mixing paint, perhaps.

Had a crazy couple back to back weeks of cabin trips with a whole bunch of furry friendos. It was so good seeing everyone and getting to be a creature in the woods for a couple weeks :3 Special shout outs to the Kangy Cabin crew and the Hocking Hills Adventure Club. You know who you all are!

Fun fact: My name has nothing to do with BIM, I picked it on a whim in the AC2010 reg line because my hobby back then was drag racing. My car's been parked and rotting for over a decade now but here's one of the last times I raced it. I've now passed the burden of ownership to @darkphox.bsky.social

I'll never understand this particular form of self-sabotage in the name of profit. You don't gain a sale by stopping a pirate because the average pirate doesn't buy shit, you just lose a sale by throwing a roadblock (or shitty vibe-coded DRM) in front of a customer actually willing to pay

I had a dream that bananas formed inside large, elongated coconut-like shells and that metabolic byproducts collected at the bottom of the shell in a savory, slimy semi-solid called the banana-nut

I did actually get this working again. Kinda wild this motor draws several hundred watts and is liquid cooled by pumping the fuel straight through it

When I joined the fandom in my mid-20's it felt really easy to meet new people but I could already see social structures and friends groups beginning to coalesce and calcify. I'm mostly curious how much of a barrier to entry that becomes over time

210

Rev @revit.bsky.social · 11/07/2026

Yeah I started thinking about that as I got older but realized I never really judged or disregarded anyone for being older when I was young, so it's mostly just in my head

110

Rev @revit.bsky.social · 11/07/2026

The finding the right people part seems like it'd be the hardest. Myself and most of the folks I hang out with aren't very active on social media anymore so I don't know how I'd find them if I were starting out today. Plus there's a lot of chaff to sort through lol

030

Rev @revit.bsky.social · 11/07/2026

I've also met a lot of older furries since COVID, mostly on VR. Probably attributable to the financial barrier making it less accessible to younger folks but it has been interesting seeing new vector into the fandom form

000

Rev @revit.bsky.social · 11/07/2026

I don't know, feels like us guys have a monopoly on creepy awkwardness :P Volunteering definitely seems like a common means to break-in, especially considering the folks running things tend to be older

010

Rev @revit.bsky.social · 10/07/2026

Is there anyone around who joined furry when in their 30's, 40's, or beyond? I'm curious what the experience was like breaking into your generational cohort in a fandom that trends very young

Rev @revit.bsky.social · 09/07/2026

AC was a mixed bag; the con itself was great but I spent a lot of time feeling useless. Video used to feel like I was doing *something* but I'm done with that for a variety of reasons. I don't think mass-appeal has helped the fandom much and I need to find a way to give back without adding to that

If anyone ever runs across this in the future looking for a solution, the problem seems to be a bug in the default input profile for the G9MK2 used by most (all?) of the open source editors. I used one of the G9MK2 CameraRAW input profiles bundled with Adobe DNG converter and all appears well now.

The next evolution in fursuit technology! Why wear your fursuit when you can strap it to your back for all to see. Suits lose 20% of their value once you unbox them, keep that collectors item unworn and unloved.
