This second chart in the series visualises the nine parent companies behind majority of lawsuits against public health policies, filed across six countries. A vending machine in a supermarket serves as a visual metaphor, and the products within representing the number of lawsuits per company.

Community, learning, and sharing were front and centre this month. We attended 1 participatory workshop, hit the stage to give 2 talks, and celebrated a huge studio milestone: Divya stepping into the role of our very first Head of Design! 🎉

However short or long our journeys have been, we've all evolved in the way we think and how we make things. One thing is for sure, though: there is no right or wrong way to start—the most important thing is to just begin.

We're back with our 'Journeys of Discovery' series, which maps out the career paths of team RVL! Last time, we focused on what tools they started with. This week, we asked them: What advice would you give yourself back when you first started?

Grouping these carton stacks by country instantly draws the eye to Mexico's disproportionate share of lawsuits filed, demonstrating how design principles like position and spacing shape data comprehension. Check out the full project on our website!

Data rigour: Visual and numerical confidence intervals accurately reflect ISN’s desk research, while a toggleable table view allows easy alphabetical or numeric comparisons. Customised colour scales: Sequential and categorical palettes for different kinds of indicators.

Revisual Labs @revisual.co · 07/08/2026
Interactive controls: A time slider tracks changes, alongside interactive colour legends that let you filter countries by category. Hovering over a region displays a tooltip with micro-visualisations of the indicator's change over time and highlights the country’s flag directly on the colour legend.

The design team crafted 8 stylescapes this month across multiple projects. We were initially introduced to stylescapes back in 2024 by Gabrielle Mérite. Over time, we have tweaked the process to make it our own and now they are an indispensable part of our art direction process.

Although it took us a few trials to make Claude work for us seamlessly, we could immediately see the payoff. The largest advantage was for our designer, Ipshita, who could make design edits directly in real time. See the whole comic through the thread! The project case study is up on our website.

We worked with the International Organisation for Migration (IOM)’s Department of Humanitarian Response and Recovery (DHRR) to redesign their Standard Operating Procedure (SOP). Since the design was fairly straightforward, we decided to try and use Claude for the development of the website.

While there is a significant decline in water extent in the 2000s, the 2020s rebound significantly, thanks to restoration efforts led by WWF India. Visualising such success stories paves the way for similar interventions to rejuvenate other water bodies in the region, and potentially, worldwide.
