Not surprised in the least. However, their ability to now spend did not happen overnight. It took 20 years to build a world class training ground and stadium, which “allows” them to spend. Any club can do the same. If Spurs have an advantage over the clubs you mention it’s that they’re in London

I’ve been a Spurs fan for 15+ years. They’ve never spent like this. The new stadium is finally allowing them to generate significant non-football income. Also, here’s where they rank in net spend in the recently closed window (they generated approximately £160MM in outgoings.
