The PVC foam backing for my shelves has turned up and it's too long. I didn't measure it correctly 😪

Just a reminder that the new issue is on sale now and is an absolute belter (like all our issues). Grab it now!

I've talked myself out of buying a 1/6 scale Delorean from Back To The Future 3 because it costs more than my mate's recent second-hand car that he can actually drive. This is a real growth moment for me 😀

The Hot Toys 2.0 Predator has dropped. Fortunately it's not much of an improvement over the original (it's still too short, has the wrong braiding and a sloppy paint job) so I'll stick with my cheaper version from Predators. He does have some nice weapons though...

@iconiqstudios.bsky.social any idea where I can order pyramid head 1/6 in the UK?

Undersides of shelves all painted. Found some super strong magnets too.

Added vinyl borders to 3 of my 4 acrylic panels. Absolutely knackered and ball ache with bubbles galore. Luckily most of the bad strips are on the side panels. Still waiting for paint to turn up.

Had to take a slight backseat to pitching until November, as there's a certain book that's taking up most of my time. If you haven't pre-ordered it yet - why not! www.pen-and-sword.co.uk/The-Making-o...

So my metal shelving is coated in a substance that repels magnets, so the 30 meter strip I bought is useless 🤦🏻‍♂️

Done a first pass. I clearly didn’t make the sheet tight enough. But it’s not terrible. I may try with 6mm as I can’t seem to find 4mm staples that fit in a gun

RetrogamerDaz @retrogamerdaz.bsky.social · 23/09/2026

Well my upholstery plans have hit a snag. The wood floors of each shelf is actually 5mm mdf and my 8mm staples go right through. I bought some 4mm staples today but they’re not wide enough for my staple gun. And there was me thinking shit like this was universal

I’m terrible at DIY but I’m going to make space for even more figures. Providing all the parts turn up on time it will be done for the weekend. Here’s where it’s going. It’s replacing this.

I fucking hate Youtube in 2026. The adverts are so egregiously intrusive that they start appearing within two minutes of a video starting. I’d have gone back to premium but it’s gone up by nearly £5 since last year and still has ads. Greed once again turning something great into a shitshow.

The amount of Generative AI that is sneaking into retro gaming is getting rather worrying… It's touched on briefly by @damienmcferran.bsky.social here but it seems to be seeping into everything, including translated Japanese retro games. www.timeextension.com/news/2026/09...

As much as I enjoyed Samus Returns and Metroid: Dread, I know I won't be missing out by not getting the special edition of Ravenous (which does look great). I'm still gutted by how bland the 3DS limited edition was.

Now that Ocarina remake looks like it will be a lot of fun. Could do without the voice acting but I knew it was the obvious route. I still love the look of the original N64 game though.

I loved Aggelos but I’m struggling with the sequel. It suffers from poor sign posting, finicky controls and too much aimless wandering 🙁

Part One in a new series where I share my fav #hottoys 1/Jack Sparrow DX37 Absolutely phenomenal figure with a great likeness to Depp, lots of nice extras and a really eye-catching base. He takes up a lot of space but has real presence on the shelf.

Has anyone heard from Tom Charnock of the Dreamcast Junkyard in the last few days? He wasn’t in a good place at the beginning of the week and left social media. I’m worried about him.

I could happily watch a two-hour move of Raiden slicing up enemies. What a masterfully directed sequence this is. Remember being giddy the first time I experienced it.
