Broke: play an old game super conveniently at great quality on an official emulator with save states, cloud data storage, and a great UI Woke: take weeks to mod an old console, spend tons of money on scalers and Bluetooth controllers to get roughly the same result but it’s .0001% more pixelated

Just one screenshot in different sizes for #ScanlineSunday - Mario Kart 64 with console-wide AND game-specific deblur enabled, with RT6X PVM20L5 emulated scanlines. One day I'll figure out how to not have Bluesky utterly crush the quality...but today is not that day. #SuperMario #N64

The remote is for true sickos. Compared to the original 5X’s remote:
The RetroTINK 5X Pro’s original remote. A Roku remote lookalike, it offers 12 commands in a highly compact form factor. The RetroTINK 6X CE remote, an absolute beast with dozens of commands and inputs on an irreverent large form factor

Traded in the RetroTINK 5X Pro for the new model. Covered the cost and then some - genuinely insane value. Going to take so many captures on this thing.

A few years ago, I played the entirety of Persona 4 Golden on Xbox Cloud. Let’s just say it took a little longer than 15 hours a month.
An iPhone sandwiched between the two halves of a Razer Kishi controller. The game displayed on the screen is Persona 4 Golden. The characters in the game stand watching a television in the Junes department store.

Revisiting the past on a Saturday night
The title screen of Aerogauge for N64 (ASCII, 1997). Highly stylized retrofuturistic theming with plenty of neon blue and purple. A green-tinted score screen featuring this player’s abysmal rankings. The vehicle is a model of an N64 gamepad, which is a great fit because it already looks like some kind of spacefaring vehicle.
