Your right, I mistakenly flipped the terms when typing. I only have a handful of CAV disks too, in fact you posted two of them. The big one I wanted was the starwars box set, which I eventually found on ebay in the mid 2000s for £20, I was delighted.

I do love a good laserdisc, a few years ago I managed to get the box set.

Well technically not a dvd but a laserdisc box set of the 3 original starwars films (not special edition), £60 about 12 years ago. Goodness only knows what it would be now, laserdisc prices went nuts.

Only 2 weeks to go until many of us will be in Cambridge talking about old games and the machines that ran them. For me I'll be spending most the weekend talking about one of the earliest beginnings of computer games, and you thought mainframes where all about business.

I dont think I've ever posted a picture of a game box in context or otherwise. So I present instead an out of context unix machine.

Mostly I get to post about retro computers, but last weekend I got to call for the Saturday night ceilidh at IVFDF, and I had a fantastic night. My Saturday nights are just not normal that good. Thanks to Mellrose, and all those who took part.

I personally love the look of the A3020, of all the wedge designes I think they nailed it, and it has red function keys, like a proper BBC, its just missing the branding.

The physical econet test network is now built, with a clock box from BBC Master, with 2 connection boxes linked with a cat5 cable. With the USB econet interface connected for testing. Just need to bring a BBC down to plug into it.

An econet clock box, 2 econet connection boxes joined by a cat5 cable, with an additional cat 5 cable plugged into each box, with a terminator on the other end. There is also a USB econet interface connected to the network.

A few people in the comments section to my latest video mentioned they would not mind seeing a video about the transputer well
