It’s fine- a local record shop has a machine that cleans tapes, I will still be able to enjoy them for their intended purpose of watching episodes of Star Trek: TNG, but whoever kept them as precious value holding tokens never did.

So, something you can reliably find in thrift stores and ebay lots are Star Trek: The Next Generation tapes. They are generally plentiful, and generally less than $2. Recently my boyfriend got me some as a gift, still plastic wrapped, and they wondered aloud “why are were they still wrapped?”
