So I thought about it, and when Capcom inevitably remake Resident Evil 5 to make it fit with the amended canon, they legitimately have to keep the boulder punch. It's literally canonised in RE8. Made the series more "grounded", still have to combo beatdown a giant rock.

Mayor May Knott is next, and this thing is charming. A puzzle game about girl rebuilding a town and overcoming her fears &shyness. It's very pretty, punny, and so full of heart I almost couldn't drag myself away from the demo. There's also a fortune teller called Madame Pastrami. She's a sandwich.

Something I'm becoming acutely more aware of is a lot of people have never played an actually bad game. Games that barely work. Games that are an assault on the senses. Games that miss the mark so badly you can't tell what the mark was. They see 7/10 when they expected 9 and go a bit feral.
