🚨 Two years after the UN Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women found that Poland’s restrictive abortion law causes grave human rights violations, the country has yet to adopt meaningful reform. Poland must act now to meet its human rights obligations & protect women’s health.

The Faroe Islands’ new abortion law comes into effect today, ending one of Europe’s most restrictive legal frameworks, which dated back to 1956 and only allowed abortion under narrow grounds. Abortion on request is now permitted up to 12 weeks.
