Shockingly, it turns out the American people don’t want their President to spend his time enriching himself, his family, and his billionaire donors while kicking millions off health care—and not just do nothing about high prices, but actively cause prices to go up. Who would have thought!

Americans: I’m worried about data centers driving up my electricity bills and AI threatening my job security. Trump: If you don’t call AI Super Intelligence, you are the enemy!

Understand what this means: Trump knows the war is causing prices to rise, he’s afraid voters will punish him in the midterms if they rise further, so instead, he’s waiting until after the election to double down on his war.

ICE has brought chaos to the streets of many communities, Americans have less money in their pockets because of Trump’s dumb war and tariffs, and the Trump administration is systematically making it more difficult, not easier, for many Americans to get ahead. This is what you call “results”?

Would love to see Trump showing some interest in marking up ideas to lower costs instead of designs for his lavish ballroom, but that's just me. www.washingtonpost.com/investigatio...

There you have it. Trump doesn’t want any safeguards on AI because he’s concerned they would cause the stock market to go down under his watch.

Gas prices are surging due to a failed war in Iran, the Attorney General says we should not try to regulate AI, and the President of the United States is blaming Democrats for his 2024 assassination attempt. Just another day in Trump’s America.

They’ve failed to achieve their military objectives, cost American taxpayers tens of billions of dollars, and sent gas prices soaring. I suppose renaming the Strait of Hormuz after Trump would serve as a helpful reminder of how his administration has been an absolute failure.

Meanwhile, the President is posting fake AI-generated videos of attacks on Iran, and your gas prices are still up. Trump might think this is all a game, but his dumb decisions are having real consequences for the rest of us.

Trump’s “big, beautiful bill” adds $4,200,000,000,000 to the national debt. A trillion of that goes straight to the wealthiest 1% of Americans. There’s only one party that is blowing up our national debt to cut taxes for the wealthy.

Prices are too high because of the President’s dumb tariffs and failed war in the Middle East that’s cost American taxpayers tens of billions of dollars. Trump: THEY HAVE A VACCINATION THING THAT LOOKS LIKE THE SIZE OF A BOTTLE OF SODA POURED INTO A LITTLE CHILD'S BODY.

Nowadays, many in our country want to turn back the clock on the things John fought for and erase from history the shoulders upon which John and so many others stood. We won’t let that happen. We’ll continue fighting John’s fight. And we’ll continue getting into “good trouble.”

Republicans refused to extend ACA enhanced tax credits. They said it was too much money. As a result, nearly 30% of those enrolled in SC last year have lost their health care. Republicans can find money for billionaire tax cuts and their Iran war, but not health care for Americans.

The bill Trump is referring to overwhelmingly passed the House 358-32. I proudly supported it. It would bring down housing costs by making it easier to build new homes and preventing Wall Street from buying up existing properties.

Trump and Republicans cut Medicaid and the ACA by over a trillion dollars, and now 5 million Americans have lost their health care. And this is just the beginning. Spending money on pointless wars while cutting funding for Americans' health care. Those are Trump and Republicans' priorities for you.

Trump’s presidency has become primarily a vessel for pursuing his own interests. The White House seems busier promoting a UFC fight on the south lawn for Trump’s birthday than doing anything to bring down the high costs that Trump himself forced on us. The American people are sick of it.

James E. Clyburn @repjamesclyburn.bsky.social · 28/05/2026
Maybe I’m old school, but I think the average American would rather their president focus on getting costs down than taking over the White House grounds to hold UFC fights and build a lavish ballroom.

In the $1.8 billion settlement Trump made with his own government is a provision that the U.S. is “forever barred and precluded” from examining or prosecuting Trump, his family, and businesses’ past tax returns. One set of rules for the Trumps and their cronies. Another set for everyone else.

Trump is more focused on building a ballroom for Washington elites than building affordable housing for everyday Americans, who are struggling mightily to pay their rent and mortgages. Trump’s budget would cut spending for affordable housing programs while he asks Congress to fund his ballroom.

Yes, that’s right: Republicans are proposing $1 billion in taxpayer money for Trump’s White House ballroom. They can’t find money for health care or food assistance, or do anything to help lower your bills, but they can find money for Trump’s ballroom.

Last week, Trump was focused on his $400M Ballroom, his “Arc de Trump,” and putting his face on US passports. This week, he’s taking over a public golf course in DC to restore its “glamour and prestige.” Trump cares so little about the issues facing everyday people.

Congress passed the SECURE 2.0 Act in 2022 to help Americans fund private retirement plans. It was an overwhelmingly bipartisan vote. I voted for it and Biden signed it into law. Now Trump, in typical Trump fashion, is slapping his name on something he had nothing to do with.

The Trump admin has begun refunding companies—not American households—tariff costs. The tariffs raised Americans’ costs by thousands of dollars, were deemed illegal by the Supreme Court, and now corporations, not American families, are getting money back. www.bbc.com/news/article...

The Trump administration has been boasting about tax refunds this year. But this year, when you include Trump’s tariffs (which are a tax) and tax credits he eliminated, the bottom 95% of Americans are projected to pay more in taxes, while the top 5% will receive net tax cuts.

A few weeks ago, Trump’s Secretary of Energy said there was a “good chance” gas prices would go down by summer. Now he’s saying that’s no longer likely, and they may even continue to go up. The Trump admin keeps shifting the timeline for their war in Iran, and Americans will keep paying the price.

In the South, 81% of farms—including 84% of small farms—didn’t pre-book fertilizer, meaning they’re now stuck paying rapidly rising prices. 78% of Southern farmers say they can’t afford the fertilizer inputs they need this season. 58% of farmers nationwide say they’re worse off than a year ago.
