What horror movie image haunts you? One of my favorite kinds of horror movie is something whose surface setting is bucolic and pastoral but lurking underneath is something insidious and downright malevolent. Like a tropical marine creature whose colorful patterns betray it's venomous nature.

The malevolent corpse of a dugong terrorizes a couple in the midst of their disintegrating marriage in the 1978 Australian eco horror film 'Long Weekend'

Good luck. You're probably of a tougher mold than I am, so may your endurance help you in that front. It says alot when this was the weekend light viewing to recoup.

After being utterly bored & disappointed by the 'viral meme backed by private equity' that is 'Backrooms', myself & @insultitude.bsky.social kicked off Pride season in earnest with one of the most epic homoerotic spectacles committed to film. Home video doesn't do it justice.

While I'm supposed to be on a recording sabbatical, I guess the show last month at Spacebar was such a success that me and @dsherrick.bsky.social will be doing our bowed string manoeuvring in the dark again along with local post punk trio Idioms and Cinci spooky synthesizer act Etudes Of Horror.

An ominous collaged image of the lunar surface taken by the Artemis II mission & and a man on a beach watching a night time atomic bomb test as part of a flyer for a show in Columbus, OH on Wednesday, May 27th.

And here's the flyer for the 29th show in question.

An abstract collage work of moody imagery as part of a concert flyer.

For those looking to do something on the evening of the 29th here in Columbus: myself & @dsherrick.bsky.social will be doing our 'orchestral manoeuvring in the dark' alongside @laudanum-quilt.bsky.social and local post punk trio Silos and industrial rock band Headhelmet. Enjoy the spooky promo.

Tomorrow night at Columbus's beloved dive bar: myself and & @dsherrick.bsky.social will be doing our bowed electric string melodrama while supported by harsh noise and electroacoustic sorceress @laudanum-quilt.bsky.social Five dead presidents at the door.

And the last batch of photos of the man of the hour that night: Keith Wecker.

A bit late but here's some action shots taken from last Thursday's minor show held at Old First Presbyterian Church in Columbus in support of experimental saxophone player Keith Wecker's tour.

Oh hey, it's that thing where me and @dsherrick.bsky.social bow an electric upright bass and guitar respectively and I do my bad Scott Walker impression. We'll be playing semi new material in support of atmospheric sax player Keith Wecker making his way on a tour.

Some very short documentation from last night's ad-hoc performance for the 34th iteration of S.T.A.T.I.C featuring myself on echoplex guitar, Sean Yeager on bass, and local percussion polymath Troy Kunkler on drums.
