Oh, how my heart breaks for what happened to LittleBigPlanet. It's what even convinced me to get a Playstation in the first place. Still keep my copy of LBP3 on disc to this day.

In the latest Team Fortress 2 patch, various map limits were increased! - Brushes 8192 -> 32768 - Brushsides 65536 -> 655360 - Texinfos 12288 -> 32768 - Overlays (internal) 512 -> 8192 - Displacements 2048 -> 32768 - Internal entities limit 8192 -> 65536 (not edicts) Big day!

To be clear, this is a bad thing, on the fact that being compared to the live-action Halo TV show is a fate worse than death itself. This series is probably NEVER seeing relevancy ever again except as a statue to how royally Xbox fumbled the bag in every way you could fumble it.

For me, it was Portal 2. I remember getting a copy for a used 360 we had and just being hooked right away. It's the game that's essentially defined my sense of humor, helped me discover my love for mapping/level design as a pastime, and what led me to become a die-hard PC gamer. What a game. 💙🧡

TL;DR: Wolverine thinks you're stupid, and I can't get on board with a game that thinks the player is stupid, at least not to this level. Again, great review from SkillUp, go check it out, but sadly gonna have to steer clear on this one. Shame, truly.

Above all, it feels awful not even knowing if it's Insomniac themselves maybe just wanting to help more people experience what they put out, or if it's instead Sony once again treating us not as intelligent people who like games, but just walking mindless money sources, unfortunately as usual.

The worst part is that if all of this was simply made OPTIONAL and fully customizable, all of this would've probably not been as big of a deal as it is. But the insistence on these elements, and a lot of other elements of this game, speak to kind of the thesis here: The game thinks you're stupid.

In full fairness, I DO think accessibility is important for games, and if this helps more people play the game than that is kind of a good thing. But there is still a line where it goes too far, and from everything I see here Wolverine uses that line as a starting line to go off.

God, this was such an eye-opener in general. Go see the full review from him for more, seriously. My take on this: Games are only fun BECAUSE they offer challenge and discovery to the player. If you strip all that down so vividly and aggressively like this, it's not a game anymore... it's nothing.

Direct was a little mid in terms of all the ports and stuff, but they definitely LOCKED TF IN for Metroid. Seriously, this is probably the hardest single frame I've ever seen in a game trailer. I'm not even much of a Metroidvania person, but I NEED this.
